This was possibly already hashed through before, but i haven't seen it. unfortunately the combo only works in open, thanks to the banning of the shire countyside. but, nevertheless, i have been searching for a combo to break for ages, and i think i might have found it. its a steep number of cards to pull together, so i haven't had a chance to knock up a decklist. but i'll lay out the combo.
2 hobbits
2 knights
arwen
arwen's dagger
catapult
a light in his mind
the shire countryside
here's the dealio: using catapult and arwen's dagger you draw/discard to gain/lose initiative, therby removing a burden, and healing arwen. letting you continue to use the combo. and by doing that, you should be able to draw your whole deck, unless i'm missing something.

It's even Manuever, so rule of 4 is useless. Good job, I don't see any problems.
-
now we just need to impliment it into a competitive open format deck!
-
ach, i just found that there's no way to add burdens in the maneuver. so you can only do it as many times as you have burdens.
-
technically couldn't you use a ring like such a weight to carry and constantly wear the ring?
-
i took a glance at that. i suppose that falls under the cost effect rule. you can keep paying the cost without the effect. sweet. i'll double check with a post in the archives.
-
and why do you have catapult?
-
to discard 2 cards, thusly losing initiative, triggering a light in his mind, and removing a burden, triggering the shire countryside, healing arwen, and letting you repeat the cycle.
-cheers!

I think you can not. You can only take on the ring once, unless you've pulled it of. But not certain about it.
But imagine what would could happen if Gil-galad, High King of the Noldor wasn't errated? You then only need to find a way to remove threats in the maneuver. That should be possible... another reason why it's good Gil-galad, High King of the Noldor got an errata.

ah yes
but why would you want to discard your entire deck, unless you have like 4x the shire countryside and heal all your companions...
-
wait a sec, with gondor you could use ?Madril, Loyal Lieutenant another gondor companion and 4x ithilien blade to discard all minions healing with 4x the shire countryside
-
And 4x Last Throw and Radagast means a 1st turn site 9 run
-
how is 4x last throw and 1x radagast a 1st turn site 9 run? i see that getting me to site 8.
however! with mirror of galadriel, dangerous guide i think you could cancievably filter all fellowship cards out of your deck! that is useful.
-
indeed you could :D The cycling is great and all, but what will you make it do?

great just what we need another horn deck
-
hm what does it help u to draw ur whole deck in the maneuver phase?
-
Well, if you have a ton of maneuver/archery/skirmish events, and could make the move limit +8 or more. You could easily go from 1 to 9 in one turn. Or using Mirror of Galadriel, you could take out all your free peoples cards to set up a shadow side.
-
you know, you wouldn't even need that many events, just enough to last a few sites, because once their hand gets jammed with fellowship cards... its pretty much over.
-
Someone should make a deck and post a replay link. I wanna see it work.
-
problem is. you have to get it to set up. that could easily take a few sites...
