Title: Find local playing groups here!
Post by: chompers on November 19, 2009, 12:20:38 PM: Hi all - the purpose of this topic is to let others know where player groups are located. This will give new and returning players the opportunity to find people to play with. Hopefully it will aid in getting tournaments happening again. To keep the page clean it would help if contact is made with player groups using the PM system instead of this board.

I will start it off:

Location: Western Sydney, NSW, Australia, usually play in Blue Mountains
Number of Players: 3-4

As for the number of players, it's really only me - I hardly ever play anymore. I know other people who will play the game, but no one else who collects (well, not nearby - there are people like lem0nhead and TheJord but they don't live in the same city as me!). There is a small playing group in London somewhere which I've been to a couple of times, but I don't know whether they're still going. And they mainly played Star Trek anyway. I can drop them a line, see if they're still doing stuff...

we are in the albany area. like a little less then 2 hours south of portland. I-% gives you a straight shot to us.

Other players: 0, but I sometimes lend my cards to my friend and then we play...

But you all have to know this:

There are many players in Czech Republic, they still meet nearly every week. The problem is, that I get there just about 1 or 2 times/year, but nobody of those players knows this forum, I think.
It would be nice when we could contact em somehow, I can try in a few months when I'll go there, but as many of you know, I'm really, really alone in Switzerland and TLHH is the only way I can get my cards..

We get together about every 6 months to play, hopefully we can get together more often than that though.

We have a Yahoo email list as well as a list of about 50 LOTR/SW/ST players in Utah that I have that I send updates to.

Number of players: 2 who play frequently, a 3rd who plays occasionally, and a 4th and 5th who play once or twice a year.

If there are any other Houston players out there (or even Austin or San Antonio), send me a pm. We used to have an awesome player base but it started to die around Bloodlines and went down the drain real fast when Hunters came out.
