Title: Rogues (UB)
Post by: SomeRandomDude on October 14, 2008, 11:11:01 AM
// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands
    4 [LRW] Secluded Glen
    5 [ALA] Island (1)
    5 [LRW] Swamp (4)
    4 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
    4 [SHM] Sunken Ruins

// Creatures
    4 [MOR] Prickly Boggart
    4 [EVE] Noggle Bandit
    4 [MOR] Stinkdrinker Bandit
    4 [MOR] Earwig Squad
    4 [MOR] Frogtosser Banneret
    4 [SHM] Inkfathom Infiltrator
    4 [EVE] Cold-Eyed Selkie

// Spells
    2 [MOR] Notorious Throng
    4 [MOR] Morsel Theft
    4 [MOR] Bitterblossom

Well...since the LRW SHM block finished up, I finally got around to building the ultimate rogue deck. Point? Evade and smash.

Throng is nice, but I don't think an aggro deck would ever need a 6-mana spell to actually win, it's a win-more card, I'd move it to the sideboard. I'd probably play Noggin' Whack main, and some removal, specially Nameless Inversion or that new UB spell that messes up combat math a lot. Also, I think rogues are better off in BR, with burn to push damage through.

Well...I've been running evasion, and the aggro deck can usually get ripped apart fine by control, but I've won the game via Notorious Throng when down to 3 crits before. Stinkdrinker sits back and lets my 2 Bitterblossom tokens swing for 6, Notorious Throng for a 24 swing.
