Title: Isengard Archery
Post by: GarrisonofGondor on October 29, 2008, 02:49:15 PM
I love archery decks so I wanted to make a Tower block one. This is what I cane up with.

 3x Elite Crossbowmen
 2x Ranged Commander
 4x Uruk Crossbow Troop
 4x Band of Uruk Bowmen
 4x Uruk Crossbowman
 2x Desert Lord
 3x Cloud of Arrows
 4x Weapons of Isengard
 2x Covering Fire

 What do you think?

There are only 26 cards.   The minimum is 30. Otherwise, seems typical. Needs another Driven Back as well,

I'd cut the Covering Fire, finish out some of the sets...Uruk Crossbow Troop, Band of Uruk Bowmen, Cloud of Arrows. I would run Desert Lord as well, he's pretty versatile.

Covering Fire, Driven Back and Come Down are not that effective. Some stuff might help you more:

Volley Fire - killer direct wounding
Siege Engine - keeps your weapons of isengard on table
Uruk Engineer and Uruk Sapper - cheap guys to speed things up for you

This deck can work easily with 4x of each archer, 4x weapons, 4x siege engine, 2x volley fire, 3x engineer, 3x sapper (or 2 and 4) and 4x clouds. If going out of TT block, then Greed and Lurtz won't hurt :D
