Title: GT's Archery Question
Post by: Gate Troll on November 07, 2008, 11:31:55 AM
Lets say I have a Bold Easterling with a Bow of Harad and an Archer of Harad and my opponent has Legolas, Greenleaf and Arwen with an Elven Bow. The Shadow archery total is two and the Fellowship archery total is two. Both my Archer minions are killed by his archery, do I assign the wounds my archers would have inflicted, or does the opposing fellowship get off unwounded?

Normal archery fire occurs at the same time so in a sense the arrows from the freeps and the shadow are in the air at the same time. Even if you minions are killed by freep
s arrows your arrows are still on their way to hit them .

Also, the Free Peoples player always assigns archery wounds first, before your minions would die.

This should be in the Archives of Minas Tirith

Right TJ, I WAS JUST thinking about this and checked the rule book. Yup, TJ is right.

Another little side note, if your opponent decided to pop cap's in your guys with Greenleaf, then the minion archery total would be 0 as it is calculated once all players have passed archery actions.

Yeah, but then you can't keep Greenleaf unwounded for the next site. Flexibility of eating the arrows vs Greenleaf killing.
