Title: Best way to sell 1950 never played cards (in sets most of which are unopened)
Post by: Afterburne on October 02, 2020, 10:03:26 AM
Hello everyone! This is my first post on this board.

At one point I started collecting the LoTR TCG cards but for various reasons stopped after some period of time. I am looking to get rid of them as they are just taking up space.

I wonder if it would be better to just post them on eBay. Any thoughts on this from those who actually collect and know what they are doing would be appreciated.

That said, I figured I would also list what I have below and see if anyone here is interested in them. I would not look for top dollar from anyone on this board, but would like to get a "reasonable" amount (whatever that might be during COVID). The inventory list is below (and maybe even some pics if I am successful in attaching them to this message).

I have edited the info below to reflect items that are spoken for and to correct a couple of errors in the amount of cards in the Deluxe Starter sets.

SOLD:
4 starter decks:
 - 2x Return of the King Starter Decks
 - 2x Siege of Gondor Starter Decks
48 - unopened booster packs with 11 cards each
1 Foil each of Gimli (OP12), Aragorn (OP14), Legolas (OP13).

SOLD:
12 - unopened starter decks with 63 cards each
2  - unopened deluxe Saruman "Two Towers" starter sets with 74 cards each
1  - unopened deluxe starter set (no name maybe "Fellowship of the Ring"?) with 74 cards

1 - opened deluxe Saruman "Two Towers" starter set of 74 cards. This actually has 89 cards in it. Not sure how since 74 plus a booster pack = 85, but that is what is in there.
1 - opened starter combo set that has 120 cards (the two decks inside are still in their wrapping unopened) along with one booster pack.

1 - Foil - an event card called "His First Serious Check" (3C33)

Edit: For reference, I am in the U.S.

Besides here and eBay, there is also a very active Facebook group that has these sorts of posts all the time:

Thanks.

I will probably wait a bit, then post to FB, and then eBay after a while. I would rather give 1st go to folks who are interested enough to belong to a forum or group.

Do you have prices for the Deluxe Starters and the Legolas Realms of the Elf Lords Starter?

Basically looking for a fair deal (no pun intended) for both myself and any buyer. So . . . . suggestions are welcomed.  :)

I sent you a pm; not sure if you still get notifications since the site was rebuilt.
