Title: Isengard Corruption
Post by: Inspire on January 25, 2023, 06:10:58 PM
Below are a couple cards that tie Uruk Spy, Beyond All Hope, and Too Much Attention together to create an [Isengard] corruption subculture.

[2] Uruk Assassin [Isengard]
Minion • Uruk-hai
Strength: 6
Vitality: 2
Site: 5
Damage +1.
Maneuver: Exert this minion to make the Ring-bearer wear The One Ring until the regroup phase. The Free Peoples player may place the top card of his or her draw deck in the dead pile to prevent this.
“...a strange feeling came to him that something was behind him, that unfriendly eyes were upon him...”

[3] •Uruk Sentinel [Isengard]
Minion • Uruk-hai
Strength: 8
Vitality: 2
Site: 5
Damage +1.
Each time an [Isengard] card discards the top card of an opponent’s draw deck, you may place an [Isengard] card from your discard pile on top of your draw deck.
“'...we should pass through many lands that are empty and harbourless. Yet they would not be safe. The watchful eyes … of Saruman … are on them.’”

Uruk Assassin fuels Uruk Spy or Beyond All Hope, while Uruk Sentinel works with Too Much Attention to maximize Uruk Spy (while also combining with Uruk Soldier to give the player some control over their hand in a Shadow that is likely very reliant on precise combinations of cards).

It's an interesting idea but it seems a bit overpowered. Maybe make the Uruk Assassin's ability have an extra catch such as Exert this minion and remove  [2] to make the ringbearer wear the one ring until the regroup phase. Other than that, good job.
