Title: The History Channel
Post by: NappyKorn on November 25, 2008, 08:44:36 AM
Bored out of my skull so thought I'd post some useless stuff in the Council of Cobra and see what happens.

Does anyone else on here like this channel? I've been watching this channel for awhile now. I like most the shows that come on this channel, but my favorites would have to be The Universe and perhaps Gangland. If you like this channel as well let me know what shows you like so maybe I can check them out .

Heck no. Watch history?

No, seriously, I watch Military Channel. And Discovery Channel, and whatever else doesn't stink.

You realize this means I'll have to kill you now....

I would watch the History Channel, if I had the time, but I don't. Heck, I shouldn;t even be on here right now.

Yeah, the Modern Marvels are cool and the different WW2 programs on The History channel. I like Discovery as well, Mythbusters is a great show and so are a lot of the other Discovery programs.

I only have rabbit ears so no cool channels for me.
But if you like WW2 documentaries, the ultimate is The World At War, made in the early 70's, narrated by Sir Laurence Olivier - 26 hours.  Now available through Netflix.

of course I like it! I even had it's logo as my avatar on CC

but here it's way too repetitive, Modern Marvels all the time...

As much as I'm able.

Funny story--and true!--is that the first forum community I joined was the WWII board at The History Channel's website. LOVED discussing WWII, especially naval actions, and was hooked on the channel at the time, so I thought I'd try out the board for some interaction. I was young and pretty cocky then, but I met some good folks who helped straighten me out and who I was able to engage in good conversation with. Helped me grow up a bit, actually, as I was a young kid talking with a bunch of old salts, and usually holding my own pretty well.

I miss that place, but I eventually just got too busy for it and moved on to other things. Don't know if it's even still there these days. I'll have to check sometime. I'm sure all my old posts are long gone, but still....
