Title: Value of a complete EoF foil set?
Post by: ununtrium on November 30, 2008, 01:33:09 AM
Hi there!
What would you think to be a reasonable price for a complete foil set of the EoF expansion? Is this set hard to come by like any complete foil sets that are not sold by Wildthingsgames on ebay?

Are there any chase rares in that set like to, for example, TTT that would make it extraordinarily hard to compile it from scratch?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I'd say 30-40 bucks these days would be a fair estimate judging from the activity on Ebay.

I checked ebay's completed listings and I think normally you'd be right with your estimate.

On the other hand, I only see prices for just those foil sets that Wildthingsgames is selling at the moment. EoF is not among them and the singles from that set being auctioned off are few and far between. Judging from the prices of EoF foil singles a foil set could well cost you $100+, if the odd auction for a complete set doesn't come along. And lets not speak about the time and trouble compiling a set from scratch. I've only just begun to see how hard it is to even get started with the FotR-Set...
