I will always vote Panthers, even when the chance is slim.

Glad New England missed out. Can't stand 'em.

I'm an Eagles fan, so I'd of course say they'll win it all out of bias (although they do have a good shot). But if it's not them, then I'd say the Colts.

I can't stand NE either. Take that, Bill Belichick! :P

I think it'll be the Colts...IF they can make it past the Chargers. That's their toughest matchup, I think.

I'm glad Dallas and New England are out. Personally I think it will be either the Giants and Colts at the Super Bowl and I'd like to think Giants would win but you never know.

The Patriots are the lowest form of human life upon this planet, eating away, like a malignant cancer, at the NFL and everything it truly stands for: the honor, the dignity, the nobility, the respect. And Bill Belichick is at the head of it all, like a little Satan leading his demons into battle, armed with cameras where they shouldn't be and spies everywhere. And even after it all, they lose the Super Bowl. 19-0? I think not. The shame of 18-1 will stand forever as a sign that good always prevails. The traitors will be found out; the thieves will be punished; the murderers will themselves be slain. Goodness, and freedom, and victory, shall prevail! NOLINKForth Eorlingas!

*ahem* So yeah, I really detest the Patriots. :P

But the Eagles won in commanding fashion. Peyton's down and out, and Eli will follow suit on Sunday. Fly Eagles Fly! :D

The Giants aren't going down without a fight! I don't mind the Eagles though, the only two teams that I really don't like are out of the playoffs, so I'm content.  ;)

I despise the giants...I would wuv an eagles/chargers superbowl but doubt it is going to happen.  Panthers/chargers would be fine too.

I haven't heard anything about big ben...is he ok?

What did the Giants do? They played fair, unlike the cheating scumbag Patriots.  :-?

How come so many people have gone for the Titans? They looked pretty average against Baltimore.

I think that Baltimore will beat Pittsburgh and Philly will beat Arizona. The birds have really been dominating the playoffs...

how much time did they have left when interference was called? and where was the spot of the foul?
watched some of the ravens game, than got bored and played LOTR with litbro and BtO. than played ROTK video game.

(BTW dain, we got the third age!)

Awesome game, sop, even if a little "weird" in a sense that you can die out of nowhere, and that every boss strategy is roughly the same. Btw, are the playoffs over?
Title: Re: NFL Playoffs
Post by: DáinIronfoot on January 19, 2009, 06:51:13 AM
The Third Age is a lot of fun. Tedious and a little repetitive at times, and clearly bending the storyline of LOTR quite a bit farther than purists would like, but a lot of fun nonetheless. Beautiful graphics (especially for the time it was made) and you really feel like you're in Middle-earth...of the films, at least.

The playoffs are not technically over until the Super Bowl is played in two weeks, but I have always considered the playoffs and the S.B. to be two separate things.

I haven't been doing much football - following lately, but a little eavesdropping on what the fantasy football group at my church has been saying is pushing at the Eagles making it to the S.B.

That was actually what I meant, I had unsigned the ESPN and now I signed it again, in order to watch the Super Bowl (and because it was dirt cheap to do so anyway).

Yes! I was hoping they'd win - I'm pretty sure I remember that AC liked 'em, and that was really my whole reasoning.

Plus I won a bet. :D

I wanted Arizona to win. You have to feel for Kurt Warner, he had a pretty amazing game but in the end all anyone will remember is that one bad throw at the end of the 2nd quarter which changed the game.

dah...did anyone see the guy who had the runback pummel the holder or something after a punt?

as gagnut said, "I now hate the steelers more than any other team in the NFL."
