Galadriel, BoW
TBR
Elladan (starting)
Elrohir (starting)
Cirdan, the shipwright x2
Gil-Galad, Elven High King
Elrond, Venerable Lord
Glorfindel, Revealed in Wrath
Celeborn, The Wise
Forearmed x4
Still Needed x4
Supporting Fire x4
Final Shot x4
Lothlorien Guides x2
Nenya, Ring of Adamant x2
Aiglos
Elven Armaments x4
Woodhall Elf, Exile
Glimpse of Fate
The idea is to use a lot of events on Elladan and Elrohir and thus beef up Cirdan. When said events are used there is a chance to trigger Glimpse of Fate. Woodhall Elf, Exile can help draw events if needed. Nenya heals and sets up forearmed. Elrond heals with Still Needed. Celeborn can get a Final Shot back on a double move. There is no damage bonuses so Gil-Galad exerts to finish off minions. Elven Armaments is great on Cirdan, Elladan, and Elrohir. I decided on 16 strength pumps, because I wanted there to be a chance that Elladan and Elrohir would each have a pump at every site. Lothlorien Guides is an event that must be used selectively to discard shadow conditions, but can work well if there is a lot of shadow conditons.

Solid. I don't really see the synergy with Glorfindel, I'd pick some sorta other companion. Forearmed is a bit weak without Gandalf, Manager of Wizards, so I'd pack him as the 9th companion, and then you can pull Elrond/Forearmed shenanigans. Or you could run Elrond, Witness to History and pair it with Forearmed, quite good with a copy of Sauron on the shadow. ;)

I miss:
Vilya, RoA (combined with Nenya, Glorfindel, Uncertain Future and forearmed a really strong card, gives Gil-Galad +1 strenth with aiglos!)
Galadriel's Silver Ewer (Reinforces tokens really crazy! Strength bonus!)
Celebring, Elven Smith (Strength bonus, You get an artifact!!)
Attunement (much better than Supporting Fire, works great with Still Needed! :uh-huh:)
Uncertain Future (token card, divination)
Elven Supplies (token card, strength ability)
Asfaloth, Swift Blossom (to heal Cirdan)!
If you want to play standard, change the following:
Supporting fire -> to Attunement
Forearmed -> to kindreds estranged
-
yeah, Glorfindel doesn't make much since. He was just another beefy companion. I should probably drop him for something more tangible.
-
I would definitely prefer Witness to History because he puts your events back on top of your deck so that you can reveal them with Attunement (which is amazing with the brothers, by the way; make your guy strength +6 and the minion strength -2, for free!). I would also consider City of the Trees and/or Wells of Deep Memory to draw all those Still Needed you'll be putting on top of your deck. If you're lucky, City of the Trees gives you Still Needed for every single fight!
If you run Attunement, I would also recommend pairing it with a Shadow side that shuffles your draw deck like Armed for Battle or the Mouth of Sauron so that you can get all those awesome cards you put at the bottom in the middle again.

In this case, I recommand Uncertain paths

I think elvents are pretty much it. I love this build (I have one that is almost the same btw) because you don't have to think too much to play. Playing attunement / still needed / uncertain paths requires some thought and you might see cards you need going to the bottom of your deck or just disappearing from the top. I play those with Gil-Galad, HKOTN, but then there's uncertain future, into the west, and that will be too many changes to your deck.
I think it's really cool the way it is. I'd just replace forearmed with Might of the Elf Lords (am I the only one who loves this? :) ) or valor and replace Glorfindel, RiW with another elrond or gil-galad, EHK.

What is better? Might of the Elf Lords or Flashing Steel? I know that vith MotEL you can exert any elf but still think Flashing Stell is better. Anyway there are lot of better events than these.

Elvents are cool they are low on twilight and the kill everything at the end of the skirmish. Everything though that hurts before of during skirmish is lethal for those pointyeared dudes
-
Might of the Elf Lords is good with other cultures (if you have a Gandalf or an Aragorn in your deck...)
But I think, Kindreds Estranged is still better than MotEL.
-
I prefer The Voice of Nimrodel over Kindred's Estranged, but it does beat Might of the Elf Lords...in the right deck.

Kindreds Estranged might be ok, but totally completely outright wrecks Cirdan :hey:
Voice of Nimrodel is cool!

I think Servant of the Secret Fire is far better with Gandalf.

Agreed, but with some maping or Uruviel follower. But there is n synergy with Cirdan.

Sotsf does not work with Cirdan. Important is, that Galadriel survives - she is the ringbearer. KE can be played out of the discards pile (-10 strength with Elrohir or Elladan!!) by removing nenya, conditions, armaments or any other thing discarded. So the ability of Cirdan is not affected by this event.
I like this deck, and I will build a similar soon. But I have to say something:
My opinion is, that Cirdans position in this deck is too central (Well, perhaps that is me, I do not like him, I do not know why :-k)!
If you have an unlucky hand, all the events block you to draw shadowcards!
-
I built it after hating my possessions being stolen by Corsairs. I decided to not to give the shadow player anything to take. Cirdan can overwhelm almost anything with two exertions.
When Elven Armaments came out, it was too good to pass up, if you were playing something that couldn't discard your possessions. Shadow Between might be better than Aiglos.
