How good is Anarion? I've never seen him in a deck, but his potential is amazing.
-
Look in Open Format at NBarden's deck. Also could a Mod move this? It doesn't belong in Expanded.
-
NOW it does. Now it's a topic requesting an Anarion decklist for Expanded. ;)

He is a really strong character, because you do not need use the event in a skirmish Anarion is involved :uh-huh:
Important are: Narsil and Ranger's Cloak.
Using 4 times Banners Blowing and a few other skirmish events would be enough to have an Gondorian Elrohir.
If you want to have a Gondorian Cirdan, do not let take him wounds (Sapling of the white tree) and increase his vitality.
If you want to have a male Arwen, QoEaM - make Anarion defender!

The main strength of Gondor was skirmishing - it seems that the elves are even there better...
Anarion... I think he could be a good character, yes - but: in which deck do you want to play him? Ranger, knight, etc.?
-
Anarion is the main character in his deck. It doesn't have to be a ranger or knight deck, you just make sure Anarion kicks #$&*@!, fill your deck up with events, vitality cards (ranger's cloak, the saga of elendil, narsil, BOTF) and that's it, the rest is pretty much up to who is playing. Aragorn, GaP takes advantage from events being played too, so he can fight beside Anarion. Faramir, DoG uses vitality too, in a very different way, but who knows.

Now that's not true :D It says "to make each minion skirmishing Anarion". A companion is only skirmishing a minion when the skirmish is being resolved, otherwise they're merely assigned to each other.

Just wondering. You would have to build the deck around him. I just don't know. Who would you start with him? Merry? What about Aldred with HiDaN?
Well, anyway. Thanks for the ideas and input.

You could start Aragorn, Strider maybe... or just run 4x of him, if you have them, to keep healing him and making sure he shows up before site 3.
-
Good 'ol AC from CC started him with Pipin, WoBaS, and I always have to. Works pretty well with Ranger's Cloak.

So... is someone going to post a deck or what!?
