Post by: legolas3333 on February 20, 2009, 07:35:55 AM
ooh here's another interesting one (o i think it's interesting ;D)

35 Cards

Ring and Ring-Bearer
Frodo, Resolute Hobbit
The One Ring, The Great Ring

Companions
Boromir, Destined Guide (Starting)
Merry, Loyal Companion (Starting)
Pippin, Steadfast Friend (Starting)

Allies
Bilbo, Well-spoken Gentlehobbit x2

Possessions
Red Book Of Westmarch x2
Ranger's Cloak x1

Events
Noble Intentions x3

Conditions
O Elbereth! Gilthoniel x2
The Saga of Elendil x1
There and Back Again x2
Consorting With Wizards x2
Everyone Knows x4
Gondor Bowmen x3
Scouring of the Shire x4
The Faithful Stone x4
Three Monstrous Trolls x2

Yeah here it is Pippin's text is not limited to shire tales so he can be +23 with just tales then + another 4 for everyone knows,  Boromir's Text is there to help out of tight spots, as is Gondor Bowmen, Scouring of the Shire can protect all you conditions and possessions and the faithful stone helps out loads, consorting with wizards and three monstrous trolls are for choke and bilbo can discard conditions. noble intentions and the great ring are for saving frodo and Saga of Elendi and Ranger's cloak give boromir extra health, Merry sucks up an extra minion plus being the main hobbit fighter before you set up your tales since his +2 for each unbound companion assigned to skirmish is good.

Maybe add a dragon's tale or two, it could save you from equina or desert lord

:-S ?? hmm perhaps a little too less comps. what you gonna do with moria swarm, dunlendings or hunter uruks, they make you squeal...especially in the first sites when you maybe have three or four tales out and no swords no aragorn with bow or so. too less power I think and archery is not everything , when you got nazgul or so.....

not to mention the faithful stones shut down almost any swarm ever. period. its probably the most broken card thats not x-ed. it basically should be tossed into evey gondor deck, and ever deck with a gondor man splash. its insane.

there is erratra for it, but it is still ridiculous. permament roaming!
you know what would be kewl, a dc contest where we designed less broken versions of existing cards.

try merry ent spotter and ent draught + little golden flower...sweety. Cut the Noble intentions and add hobbit sword for a really monster Pippin...+ 38 if unwounded, 41 strength Pippin, now that is scary....
