Hi people, with the help of FM i have sorted the first round of our tourney. i gave a number for each player and FM blindly pairs one-one and we came with this:
- Manuel X Sweet: A match where any mistake could cost the game. What will this two players be guarding for each other?
- Bombadil X Clockwork: Two very calculist players who knows each other from sda... who will have more cold blood (and good draws) to face all the way to mount doom?
- Pepin X Kain: A brazilian match were both wants to bring a victory to their flag.
- Tempest X Gate-Troll: A battle when the nerves will be sparking. They may not be cold-headed, but they sure have the guts to leave their opponent behind seeking for the 1st place.
- Ringbearer X ? Malachi: Who will be the 10th player to join and confront this "old wolf" of gccg? A confront between two experience players from gccg, who will be standing victorius for the next round?
A part of the fool comentaries, the first round is almost set. Will be very nice to have a 10th player to avoid wins by bye, so anyone who wants to join is more than welcome!
I ask all players to post something here just to know that all are aware of the first round!
Like an classic game says: "LET THE CARNAGE BEGINS!!!" ;)

Just some more things:
- No player will be allowed to watch other players game. To show that they are in an "official" tournament match they should change their avatars to country flags.
- Players should try to enter in contatc with their opponents as soon as possible to set up the day an hour of the match. Results can be submited to me and i will post them here.
I will try to talk to wigy to see how the register thing will work...

Well, the problem with the deck registering is solved: i will have granted judge access during the tourney, that way i can acess the log and see if someone have registered other deck during the tournament, so it's very important that everyone register their decks before the first match!. You can do that by choosing the deck you will use and then type /rd, pretty easy.

Maybe someone wants to join the tourney and be GT opponent in the first round. That would be nice not have winnings by bye.

I registered a wrong deck first (contianing LR). Malachi was kind enough to let me reregister a new deck before the match started.

Ok, no problem i will keep that in mind when checking the logs.
Just to people be aware: we will have 4 rounds of swiss pairing, where players with similar number of wins gets paired. After the forth tound we can have a "championship match" if two or more players gets the same number of victories (obviously that with high scores).
Maybe mm join the tourney as well, in that case he will replace Tempest and be GT opponent in the first round.

Yes. You have to register your deck using the /rd command once you have chose a deck and verify if it is movie block legal with "check legality" on gccg. just be sure you don't put Galadriel, LR into it, cause she is banned in this tourney also.
I think wlk can reset your account, or you can just reinstall it. be sure to download images and run update everything.bat just after you install it to get things running properly.

ok thanks, i sent wlk my username which i accidentally made "myname" trying to get the stupid thing to work. so when he does delete it, it will let me reinstall with a new name.

Well, we still have one game to finish in the first round but anyway i will ask someone to help me set up round 2 matches, so people can start to arrange things, that way the tourney don't get too late.
As soon as i find someone to help me out i will pair people for the next round.

Also some people haven't ask for boosters (1 for each match). If someone wants it and didn't get it yet just ask me.

Technically, every round has to be played in 1 week, except in very special situations. If things get slower because there is no such deadline, people starts losing interest, and this seems to be what is happening.
In other words, Pepin, you have to be more strict with that in the future ;-)

The tourney is a little bit messed up, in part by so many people quiting and etc. but i guess it will go on! Maybe if we organize a little better in future things go more straight.

Actually, only one round will be missing after this one has been completed. Right now, a post of the current players with their current position and TPs would help a lot ;)

Sorry folks, i really wanted to make it the best way possible, but i'm kinda busy this last days and without help it turn a little hard to set up all stuff.
I probably will have time to check thing tomorow and get the last round ready.
Anyway just cause i'm unpleased with the deck i choose for the tourney don't means that i have to leave other players waiting for some miracle to move on the tourney.
I will let you know as soon as i got someone to help me out to set last round. I hope we do more tourneys and that they go just fine.

I already did. I request help to your guys be sure i din't just assign the way i like (since most people have same number of victories).

Played against Malachi again. This time the game was opposite of the other one: our freeps were having big trouble against our shadows.
He did a big mistake early on and i could kill poor Galadriel at site 5...
I made 2:2 which is not bad considering the deck i was playing ;)
Good thing now i can delete it.

And the game is moved to tuesday evening, european timezone. Somewhere between 10 and 12 GMT+1, although it can be later. Expect no mercy and a hellova game :)
