Dear people of Middle Earth,
Let’s start creating a new set (virtual). For every culture, race, site, whatever, we create 3 new cards.
Every day we vote if a card will come into this new set or not.
I will open 2 topic’s. This one for the results. And another were you can send your suggestions.
5 times a week I will create a poll about a new card, which you can answer with yes or no or no opinion (other suggestions are welcome) until the whole set is completed.
Let’s call this set Shelob’s Lair!
For the first card I’ll give you no option to choose, because I really want this card in this virtual set:
Sam's Frying Pan
Set: Shelob’s Lair
Side: Free
Culture: Shire
Twilight Cost: 0
Type: Possession • Hand Weapon
Resistance: +1
Game Text: Bearer must be Sam.
This weapon may be borne in addition to 1 other hand weapon. Bearer is strength +2 and damage +1 while skirmishing a Troll.
Skirmish: Exert bearer to wound an Orc he is skirmishing.
Lore: "'I think I'm getting the hang of this!'"
I hope you'll all particitate in this!

Does the card have a name? Also your formatting is very confusing, you should use this type:

Forgot the obvious name for this card.

I'm not sure you've addressed the problem that Frying Pan had in the first place which put it onto the X-list; you put it on your Ring-bearer and now he's basically immune to a deck that runs Orcs, especially any swarm when there are lots of low vitality minions. I'd be happier with something like this:
(0) Frying Pan (V) [Shire]
Possession • Hand Weapon
Bearer must be Sam. May be borne in addition to 1 other hand weapon.
Skirmish: Exert Sam to wound a minion he is skirmishing. Any Shadow player may remove [1] to prevent this.
Or some other prevention text. Thar way, it's still useful and keeps the essence of the card, but can be easily kept in check by the Shadow player. Also not convinced that a Ring-bearer bearing 2 weapons one with +2 strength and the other +1 resistance is a good idea, so I think I'd prefer it either without the ability to bear another weapon or without the resistance bonus.

I dont get why its good against Trolls, he may have been using it whilst the troll attacked but he was only battering Orcs with it. And Thran is dead on the money, it got x-ed cos it nukes orc decks and makes your RB invulnerable to them and you have kept this the same.

Uhm Sam as rb has only 5 resistance, so don't see the problem with that. Didn't saw the movie this last year, but are you sure that he didn't used it against the troll? That's why I put the text in it :(

Firstly, Sam, Bearer of Great need has BASE 5 resistance; realistically he's going to be 8, 9 or 10 because you'd only run him in a deck with lots of Hobbits. Secondly, +1 resistance on the Ring-bearer is always amazing, even more so when a RB has less resistance. Thirdly, he used it I'm pretty sure just against Orcs, but that's kind of irrelevant - Gandalf's Staff was used against The Balrog but none of its versions have anything to do with the Balrog. Sometimes gameplay usage has to trump film; if Gandalf's Staff was only useful against the Balrog or Anduril was only good against Orcs, the cards wouldn't be used. Specific hate, whether it's against culture or race, is not usually worth it.

See!? Thats whats i said! ;D
-
because the amazing powers of the bacon grease left in the pan from weathertop, combined with absorbed nazgul essence from said hill, made it amazing and gave him the skill to dodge the trolls hammer.
-
LOL nice try SoP but that doesnt explain the damage +1!
-
he obviously hit him on the tail with the sword and hammer when he rolled under.
-
okay, okay, It appears that I recall the scene differently then it actually is.. well maybe we can alter the film :D ..otherwise I have to change the gametext... hahahah
-
Haha finally, though i have to say it wouldve been a lot cooler to see sam hammering the troll with his cooking equipment!
-
Then let's keep the text this way, just out of imaginal coolness ;)
