Title: Why Shouldn't I Keep It?

Can you win the game using Why Shouldn't I keep It against a Bilbo RB?

If so, can the free peoples player discard conditons from 'hand' to prevent this or does it have to be from 'play' ?

The Ring-bearer can't be discarded, so if Why Shouldn't I Keep it? is played nothing will happen. The FP player does not have to take action to prevent an illegal effect.

The default meaning of "discard" is to discard from play. If Bilbo isn't the Ring-bearer, two conditions in play will have to be discarded to prevent the effect.

And, incidentally, it's fun to make Terrible as the Dawn the image for your Galadriel RB. :D
