I've heard a lot of players complaining that the card size in GCCG doesn't leave enough room for large fellowships. As I rarely run large fellowships (too used to Shotgun Enquea...) it doesn't affect me too much. However, here's what I have noticed with testing:
At the current size, you can squeeze in 9 companions without overlapping on the sites IF none are bearing any cards and they are right next to each other.
At 80% of the current size, you can fit 9 companions plus have space to have each one bearing a card (or, 9 cards borne total) without any space issues.
80% of the current size is the same size represented by your decks. Too see what it would look like, you can simply put a companion in your dead/discard pile and compare that to your other companions (you can drag and move your decks just like any other card).
If you play GCCG at all, please vote and leave a comment as well. Size is fine, or smaller is better? Thanks!

I'm just like you I never run large fellowships (shotgun enquea) Pshudders*

I find it's ok the way it is. You can actually arrange your companions in a couple of rows if needed, and I feel like a small size of the cards would make the whole game more difficult to follow.

It's fine as it is.

I think it is OK as is... but with the F5 'enhance image' it really shouldn't matter how small you make the cards... (I have to use F5 most of the time anyway, as I'm not as familiar with exact game text as some other players would be...)
From my GCCG experience so far... the only advantage SDA has over GGCG is the fact that you can have a 'dwarf possession deck' (or any freeps possession deck) in SDA and there is still enough room for all companions.
GCCG would perhaps be a little better IMO if there was a little more room. (It is quite squashy).
This doesn't effect the game in anyway for me (as I also had to use the 'card viewer' in SDA), However it would look more like a 'real' game on the tabletop if you could line up your companions in one row rather than two.
Maybe you could try the smaller cards...and if you receive negative feedback about it, change them back... Just my opinion. :)

You know you can use SHIFT to view a card zoomed? Hold shift and hover over the card.

No, I didn't know that... thanks, should make things a little quicker.
