i thought about a standart [Rohan] men deck focusing on fighting.
this is my firt result:
Frodo, Weary From the Journey (15C)
The One Ring, The Great Ring (19P)
companions:
1 Eomer, Horsemaster (15R) strong, valiant and hunter for 2 tw, what do you need more? nothing.
1 Eowyn, Northwoman (17R)* breaks big guys like balrog, sauron, castimir... frodo gets strong enough to fight
1 Aragorn, Defender of Rohan (17R) maybe the soul of this deck, awesome with grim trophy & gamling
1 Gamling, The Old (15S) fast at strenght 10, for 2 tw... and valiant!
1 Theoden, Tall and proud (8R) valiant, love the combo with the army
1 Haethen, Veteran Fighter (12R) useful against all fierce minions, i.e. direct damange warg riders from RoS
1 Rohirrim Army (8R) discards a minion
1 Radagast, The Brown (9R+) let's move, baby!
2 Merry, Swordthain (7R) i love him! perfect against possessiondiscard and quite funny with eomer's and eowyn's possessions + unyielding
allies:
1 Tom Bombadil, The Master (9R+)
1 Deor (7C) it's a tall deck, so she helps to cycle and pushes
possessions / artifacts:
2 Sting, BotAL for frodo
1 Eomer's Spear, Trusted Weapon (15R) a little bit direct damange if you do not kill all minions
1 Rider's Mount (15C) should be clear
1 Firefoot, Eomer's Steed (7R) COULD be useful for conditiondiscard
1 Eowyn's Sword, Dernhelms Blade (7R) nasty with unyielding
1 Long Spear (7C) or Spear of the Mark (15U) long spear is nice with nine-fingered frodo... not sure
1 Coif (12R) should be clear
1 Throne of the Golden Hall (17R) should be clear
conditions:
1 For Death and Glory (17U) very useful whil facing a hunter shadow
events:
1 NfFatRoD (10U) burden or treat remove
1 Unyielding (10U) already mentioned
2 For the Mark (12U) simple possessiondiscard
2 Where Now the Horse (17U) that's what i call rb protection! frodo gets mad with this + his ring
3 Grim Trophy (15C) a potential +7!!! pusher, also works against hunter shadows, cause you got 4 valiant comps
2 Brilliant Light (15C) pushes, too. better then then GT if you need some damange
3 Last Days of My House (15U) depending on which shadow you're facing, pick the comps you need.
total: 35
any suggestions are welcome. i.e ideas for better healing (unfortunatelly there is non) and how to keep the size of the deck a bit shorter (32 cards would be perfect).

*Sam, Great Elf Warrior - it is always important to have Sam, in case Frodo dies. Furthermore, Tom Bombadil gets an additional companion to protect! So he makes a bit more sense in this deck.

Now it should be at 32 cards. Use followers (Pallando for condition discard, [Rohan] folowers for strength...)!

how sad that nobody else has ANY suggestions, because yesterday i play-tested this deck for the first time and eowyn is awesome! breaking an fierce, hunter and damange+1 guy is so much fun :uh-huh: and she cannot take a wound!
finally she has an enormous potential which i'd like to abuse even more. i just need some wound prevention for the worst case that i face a hunter shadow or draw no skirmish events. there is a [Rohan] condition (it's name escapes me) which allows me to add 2 burdens to prevent a wound, but thats - to my mind - not effective enough: way to expensive and gets discarded to easily.
edit: i can always complain about that fact that there's no card like much-needed rest for rohan, why?! argh....
so please, help me out with this problem!! :roll:

Solution 1: don't play against by decks... :mrgreen:
or the better one...
get a healing engine... rohan cannot heal... so, abuse the sites... --> Nelya/Mithlond combo, perhaps... heal a little bit and you're well...

*Leowyn* x3 copies IMO should be in every standard format Rohan deck. :up:

Except this one. I don't think Leowyn is as helpful in this particular deck, what with wound prevention and Theoden WANTING to die. I think 1 copy could help, though.
I would actually prefer Golden Perch Ale to NFFATROD. Same cost, but also combos sweetly with the Great Ring to make an effective strength +3 Frodo for nothing.
