Title: Skirmish question

hi all!
i'm new and i'm not an expert at all so i'm sorry if this is a stupid question :-[

Anyway, today i was playing with a friend...
i played Ulaire Enquea, Thrall of the One... he assigned him to Hrethel, Rider of Rohan (mounted)
Enquea must exerts for the mount... then he wanted to heal hrethel to make him strength +3 but i wanted to heal enquea to add a burden, so the question is... who heals? ???

The Free Peoples player get the first action, so Hrethel can use his ability before Enquea gets a chance to add the burden.

to answer your question:
at the start of the skirmish, the mount triggers and exerts enquea. then, during a skirmish the freepeoples player has the first action: in this case heal enquea to make hrethel strength +3. now you as the shadow player get the next action: if enquea is already healed and no wound on it is left, you cannot heal him anymore.

it's always the same: the freepeople player takes the first action.
