I really like Moria swarm decks, but I'm beginning to grow tired of them :x, Is there a way to build an uruk swarm deck? I would love to take advantage of the damage bonuses, and it is something most players, at least the guys I game with, would never see coming. Any ideas?

Yup!
Attack on Helm’s Deep x 3
Down To The Last Child x 2
Uruk Regular x 4
Uruk Besieger x 4
Uruk Trooper x 4
Uruk-Hai Horde x 4
Uruk-Hai Mob x 4
Uruk-Hai Patrol x 4
Banner of Isengard x 3
Sack of the Shire x 3
I played that variant

i'd throw in a couple greed for crowd control, and Burning of Westfold can keep pesky conditions from screwing with you.
but yes, NB's decklist is solid. tweak it to your meta and you should be set.
-
Pillage of Rohan is also another interesting condition to use.
-
That's fun, it's the deck I play at present in Movie Block.....
And it works really well, I play it like an Uruk Bomb with a stacking ability ;).
You forget Uruk Veteran, Greed, Uruk Captain and Saruman's Power... the cost reduction guys aren't so useful, you don't control many sites or only in the late sites.
And yeap Pillage of Rohan could be fun ;).

Yeah... Pillage of Rohan... ](*,) I've been on the wrong side of that card before... it hurts. I'm suprised we don't see it used more often.

My brother just started to employ an Uruk Swarm deck against my Dwarves and he took out my Gimli, Bearer of Grudges as soon as he got his site control revved up. So how do I answer that? I play the deck with only three main companions (BoG, Durin III, Fror), and then pump each of them up as high as possible (Durin to 18, Fror to 12).
I can easily beat his individual Uruks, but he's begun swarming me and giving BoG 4 wounds per skirmish (which then I have to translate into burdens, which equals corruption after two turns of this).
Any ideas about how to take down a deck like this?

Well, I suggest you use more than 3 companions as you don't want Gimli to fight too often. So add Linnar and another one. Honestly, dwarves should be able to destroy Uruk swarm easily as you only need them to get to strength 10 to beat most minions. Nothing can stack with the damage bonus... Seriously, you probably just need more dwarves.

Blood Runs Chill. Condition knifing does a lot of damage to site control uruks.
-
That is vicious. Devious. Trecherous
-
Are there any cards (from Movie block, btw) that make dwarves defender +1?
-
Disquiet of Our People
-
my experience with uruk swarm is that they are too nasty. Enola has a vicious one with hardly support cards, just get 1, maybe 2 sites, but mainly play as much uruks you possibly can. The rugular at the right moment (and thus multiple regulars) is ace.
-
Uruk Captain is a good minion to use as well.

Disquiet of Our People
or Wielder of the Flame

Nothing can stack with the damage bonus...
Wait, what exactly do you mean here? The damage bonus of multiple minions does stack.
When the winning side has one or more
characters with the keyword damage +1, then
each losing character takes one additional wound
for each damage +1. (Damage +2 adds two
wounds, and so on.)

I mean that normally, if you have 5 strong dwarves with damage bonus, none of those Uruk-Hais will be able to survive until regroup and stack on the sites.

Got it, site stacking. Thanks for the clarification.
-
I find site control difficult to accomplish. Is there a way to simplifiy it?
-
In a good Uruk swarm you need only 1 site, so it shouldn't be a real problem with Attock on Helm's Deep and Uruk Swarm.
-
Oh, I didn't realize that. I forget that in LOTR 1 or 2 of something is generally enough. For some reason my mind always fall back to real big numbers like 4 or 6 of something. It's a curse really.

Beware of the Fortress Never Fallen

Holy cow! I've never even seen that card before. Amazing
