I've gotten a few PMs and messages in the last couple weeks from users about how to do various things in their settings and profiles and such, including one from a moderator today! :P I figured it'd be good to open a thread for such questions so that others can see the answers as well, because chances are that if you're having a problem figuring out how to do something, you're not the only one! ;) So it'd be good for others to see the responses too, in case they've been wondering the same thing.
So, here's the place to do it. If you're having an issue you just can't seem to figure out yourself, let us know here and hopefully someone will be able to help. ??? And if an admin or mod hasn't gotten to answering yet and you know the answer yourself, feel free to beat us to the punch and help your fellow forumers out!
So...the lines are open, and operators are standing by. Give us a call! :hey:

So why does it say session timed out if I quote somebody? (does it on regular reply and quick reply)

Here's a useful troubleshooting question: Have you tried it with another browser? Firefox? IE? Opera? Let's see if it's browser independent.
Are cookies disabled in your browser?
-
Same thing I was going to ask, since I have never seen nor heard of that issue....:cpunch:
-
I have tried it in other browsers (even other computers) and it does not change for me. How do I disable cookies?
-
I don't think you would want to disable cookies.
At what point does it say session timed out, and in what way? IE does it pop up an error box, display it on the page...
Before or after posting? Obviously it's not interfering you from posting, so what does it affect? Do you have to re-login every post? Give me some details here. :)
-
When I try to quote someone, and then press post, it says session timed out in red above the post. It's just kinda inconvenient because I have have write everything out all over again.
-
You can check browser settings to see if cookies are disabled. If they are, enable them. That should help.

Well, I just tried logging in with your account and it works fine for me on this end. It must be a software issue. You never did mention which browser(s) you used... could you let me know?
