So, sometimes in GCCG I log in but nobody is on. I'd still like to play a game, but I know that if I leave, someone else will probably pop in and out of the empty lobby. So instead of staring at GCCG (a watched pot never boils...), I might browse the web and check back every 10 minutes or so. Sometimes I check back and see:
20:18 JoeBob: Kralik: Hey, want a game?
20:18 JoeBob: Kralik: You there?
20:19 JoeBob leaves.
Now I know sometimes a player leaves GCCG running and forgets about it, or forgets to set away. In fact, I did this today by accident. However, I saw another player (sweet, I think) using a certain convention and I'd like to suggest that it becomes a new 'standard.'
1) If you want to leave GCCG open but are generally not going to be checking it at regular intervals, set away.
2) If you want to hang out in the GCCG lobby and see who comes in to chat, stay in the lobby.
3) If you are itching for a game, sit at a 2-player table.
So I'm going to start doing this (#3). That way, if you come into the lobby and see me sitting lone at a table, it means I want to play and will be checking the GCCG screen soon to see who's there. Just shows some intention.
Thoughts? :)

superb. K! most of the time I come in with little time to play. This way seems great.
Just like a fist date, in great expectation of the one with the rose coming through the lobby.. Will he/she sit down... or not...
