Title: The Discard of Possessions

If Rush of Steeds is played on a Nazgul bearing a possession/artifact, say Ring of Terror, does the possession return to my hand as well?

No, it is discarded.

Yes indeed. If it bounced cards borne by the minion, it would specify. Otherwise, if a card's bearer leaves play all cards it bears are discarded.
