Title: Request for a shadowplay/initiative loss deck
Post by: Cw0rk on September 28, 2009, 05:37:45 PM
Can someone post a wounding deck that uses shadowplay / rohirrim guard / hardy garrison?

I remember playing against online decks like that back in the days and I found them quite effective.

Hmm...that's a pretty interesting idea. The only deck that I have seen regularly that plays off of initiative loss is a Gandalf, Manager of Wizards, Brooding On Tomorrow, Glimpse of Fate deck.

I've seen Hardy Garrison around as well.

Bombadil runs a deck with Shadowplay + Rohirrim guard + Eowyn, LoI.

Basically you run frodo and Merry, Swordthain (need 2 hobbits to play shadowplay). Play horses, shields, bows and rohirrim helm on rohan companions, exert the minions with shadowplay (using bouncing hobbit) and guard. Cancel skirmishes with helm on guard (after exerted him to death) when needed to get fierce exhausted big minions on eowyn (heal her with shield). You can also run Gandy with Strenght of spirit to boost eowyn. Be sure yo pack some The tale of the great ring to save Merry's #$&*@! from swarm. Use his text to bounce (get him fully healead from exerions of shadowplay) and to play the helms + shields or bows you just used.

Hardy Garrison can work fine with shadowplay but you will need 2 gondor man plus 2 hobbits plus guard. mayb e you can try rangers + pip, WoBaS for a more destructive aproach.
