People,
As an enthousiastic LotR player myself I would love to see an huge tournament next year somewhere in the summer. I know that in several countries in Europe there are still some active players. And the best thing is that several of them know eachother as well. I've been at a tournament in Germany where I have met Olorin, Elrohir and King89. Maybe I forget some, but about these I'm sure. They know quite a lot german players and can get in though with other german speaking players.
Then there is Enola, representative of the France community. It seems they have quite some players as well. I have seen some Spanish players, in Germany there were people from Poland, Chech Republic, Austria. In Holland we have some, allthough I haven't seen Smeagollum for a long time. England has some people, but all and all we are with quite a few.
How cool would it be to have a cheap, nice get to gether with the last remaining Mohicans to play some lotr and crown a unofficial European Champion?
This topic is started to check whether there is at least some interest in such an event. If so, we could start talking about organisation and such...
Thanks

There are a great community in Paris, I'm going to find a place for the European Championship.
The usual French Championship always take place in the same room, but we can't have this room before april 2010. The advantage of this place is that we have the place during the nights friday-saturday and saturday-sunday, so you don't have to take a reservation in a hostel if you want to sleep.
We'll do a tournament in Paris tomorrow, I will talk with the other players about the idea of an European Championship in Paris

Make sure you do, cause it would be awesome!

Where and When?
Italy has a big playership too. Members from GCCG are from Russia, Slovakia, Croatia, Greece ...
Paris would be nice =)

Where would this be held? Still studying and working part time, so hopefully I can afford accomodation and flight, not to mention buying more cards. :)

France or Germany are both fairly central to large player groups.

Any update on this? We can use this event in addition to our revival of LotR: TCG. If the vote passed that is. :)
