Some of you may disagree with me. I hate Bakshi's lotr. I dislike it a lot (well, the music and colours are great). Some will say it's great because it uses real book quotes and the events taking place are direct from the book and blablabla... The thing is HOW it is achieved. I prefer a modern lotr that doesn't use the exact quotes but takes the same feel of them and puts it somewhere, and has a great sense of drama, so you can feel what the characters are feeling, than a lotr without any sense of timing and drama and that believes that using the exact same quotes, even if they feel fake as h*** will make  a better tribute to Tolkien. AND that has Boromir as a viking.

oh - the core is cute - i found all the terrible science references amusing - and Stanley Tucci for me made the movie almost watchable.

As for stinker movies - i have seen alot - this one however probably wins it for me:

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever

Kettie, what do you think about the Dark Knight?

Oh and I can't watch the Titanic. I knew before seeing the movie that that boat would sink.....

Groan...

I have to say the worst movie I've seen in a long time is Alian Vs Predator. Worse still, Meet dave. Even worse, Monster House. Still worse, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Yeah, never see any of those. Ever. Period. Even if #$&*@! freezes over.

I generally avoid movies that don't look interesting to me, but as a Star Trek fan I had to watch Nemesis.

Two thumbs down.

TNG deserved to go out on something better.

Would have to be: The movie whose title I know not, but had the line (2 people breaking up in an apartment)  Guy: "I painted you once!" Girl: "*sob* With the scarf?" Guy "Yes, with the red scarf!"

The worst movie I have ever seen..... hands down - The Littlest Viking.

Not sure if you can find YouTube clips of it or not - but it was just horrible.  Something like a cross between Conan the Barbarian and The Little Mermaid..... unghh

Sorry to all the Transformers fans out there, but I hated the first movie. It is probably the only movie that ever made me fall asleep.

However, I'm pretty sure that if I had seen GI Joe, it would have been worst.

I cant stand the lord of the rings by peter jackson! He strayed so far from the origianl book that i had nightmares for a month!  After seeing FOTR i gave up.  I never saw TT or ROTK.  I was disgusted by jackson's "adaptation" if that is what you want to call it.

I am so kidding.

The worst movie i ever saw... you know I never really liked the Planet of the Apes remake.  The originals were pretty creative, but the remake was frustrating.  I about lost it when the protagonist kissed the monkey-chick. HEROES DON'T KISS MONKEYS! The only reason the director had the human blond girl in the film was so the protagonist could have a chance to redeem himself after kissing a monkey.

Worst movie I ever saw....no idea, I don't watch many bad movies if I can help it. I think I hated Love Actually quite a bit--a swamp of a plot riddled with holes and with little meaningful/believable character development.

I personally loved The Dark Knight despite its plot holes (the biggest one being why did "Two-Face" turn evil all that suddenly).  Epics I didn't enjoy include The Kingdom, The Kingdom of Heaven (mostly because it was disappointing, I hear the extended version is better), and, may God curse it forever, TROY. I HATE THAT MOVIE. Even Alexander was better than that one.
