Title: Assessed value of my entire LOTR TCG card collection?
Post by: Celebrimbor on June 24, 2008, 08:49:40 AM
OK.  To tell you the truth, I have not played a single (physical) lotr card game for ages.  All I really have left is 300/400 trade-able rares (I can get to work and give a comprehensive list) and these complete sets:

Fellowship of the Ring
Mines of Moria
Realms of the Elf Lords

Battle of Helm's Deep
Ents of Fangorn (not totally complete, needs two more AI rares)

Return of the King
Seige of Gondor
Reflections
Mount Doom

Bloodlines (very near completion, just need three cards)
Rise of Saruman (50 cards needed)
Age's End (all mint cond.)

Plus, I have maybe about 2 or 3 thousand Commons/Uncommons from lots of different sets, all mint.

So, could someone tell me approx. what the lot is worth?

Thanks.

Hi,

I would be very interested into Gil-Galad High king of the Noldor from T&D!!!
...and also perhaps Saruman Servant of Sauron if you have got him...

I would say, you sell those two cards to me (better if you have a list of T&D and RoS)... so you would make more money... I think...

...and I value the whole collection about a few hundred dollars perhaps (200 $)? - I don't know...

Please let me know, thanks!

the problem is not what it is worth, but what is anyone willing to spend. I would be interested in the RoS set, the earlier sets are not at all interesting, maybe Siege of Gondor which I have bought for a friend for like 50 usd.

That's exactly what the problem is that i'm worried over.  Trying to post something on ebay and expecting 500 people bidding on it like crazy is a far-fetched idea as of now, regarding the popularity of LOTR TCG.

Like I said, my RoS collection is not complete.  Would you like a complete list of what cards I have in it, or rather, what cards I don't have in it?

Thanks.

BUMP I also forgot to mention: I have a COMPLETE collection of the expanded middle-earth weta/promo cards.
(you know, set #14)

@Celebrimbor: you got a PM  :D

PS: wasn't Celebrimbor that elf, who made the three elven rings (Vilya, Nenya, Narya)?

Hey i'm back again, to catch up with everything here and get back with you.

yeah, you're correct.  "celeb" means silver and the rest of the word means either fingers, fist, or hand.  "silver hand".  Pronounced "kelebrimbor".

Edit: i'm going to get a complete post up of all my spare cards up.  I'm hoping to sell a whole bunch, so keep your eyes peeled :)

Hello Celebrimbor

I'd pay $30 for the FOTR block complete sets. I already have most of the cards but since I still play w a few friends it'd be nice to have additional copies of the rares/uncommons.

Fellowship of the Ring
Mines of Moria
Realms of the Elf Lords

Let me know. I know it's not a very high price, but then I don't think you'll find many folks looking for these cards at all, plus I'm a student  ;) I'm also vaguely interested in the TT block complete sets, maybe $45 for all 5 sets?

Thanks

Joel

Hey thanks for the offer.  I regret to say that the lowest i'll go for the Fellowship block sets is in the $80 - $85 price range.

Are you interested in a bunch of (approx 25) slightly played promos? I can give a list if you want.

Fair enough. I'll pass on the promos, thanks, & I'll have a think about the earlier sets and wait for my bank balance to grow a little  :)

Which 3 are you missing from the bloodlines set?

RoS, TD and SoG are interesting to me...how much for each set? I won't be able to pay for about one month and two weeks or so yet, though. :S

However, I am trusted by this forum's members. Have many references outside of it too, though on this laptop (my dad's) I don't have all the links to em. Probably on old CC archives somewhere. Float me a PM about the prices. :)
