Just had my first official interview with the NSA, and I'll find out next Tuesday whether or not they're extending me a job offer. It will take several months of background investigation and stuff after that, but at least I'll know the process has finally begun.
I have been trying to get into the NSA since I graduated college back in 2003, and it just hasn't ever worked out...until now. I think that master's I just finished is certainly helping. :)
So, yeah, hopefully next week I'll be able to make yet another happy announcement. Until then, wish me luck!

Yeah, I'd thought about that, Jord. Probably not, but you never know.
Though with my master's degree over and with NSA being like 20 minutes away (rather than the hour to an hour and a half commute I have now), I'll have a lot more time in the evenings, so it all evens out. Mostly. :roll:
We'll see. TLHH is still new enough that it's passed through the ever-tighter filters at DLA, so maybe I'll get lucky. I doubt one little guy like me checking the site would lead to it getting locked down. So unless they have practically EVERYTHING without a ".mil" address locked out, which IS possible....
Eh, we'll see. Still worth it for the bump in salary and much much MUCH shorter commute. :up:

I'd say to just not visit the forums while you're at work at the NSA. It's just not worth losing your job over.

I imagine at least checking during lunch would be okay. Even NSA employees get to check personal e-mail and such during short periods.
