I didn't see another place to post event information, so here we go.
Utah players are interested in getting together again sometime soon and playing. We will be doing a draft for the game with starters and some packs to go along with them.
It would only be about 5-8 bucks depending on what we want to do.
We are thinking maybe on President's Day weekend if anyone is interested on these boards in the Utah area.

You know I'm in Scott. Presidents Day would be great. Like I said, we could do sealed, draft, or sealed draft.
I think for a local gaming revival in Utah we might want to try for Fship constructed, and slowly work our way out from there. I doubt any of the old player base has many, if any, cards from the last block, and the last block really turns the game all around.
Has anyone else had any luck reviving a local player base? I mean reviving, as in old players who used to play, not just you and your buddies who never stopped playing...

I like the idea of just doing some form of sealed event for this.
As far as actually playing again and doing something like a Fellowship block - what would be the X-List/Banned cards for it?

Scott, David and Gavin want to do sealed in February.
As for constructed, there is no xlist in Fship block, but Gavin asked the same question! Him and I considered a number of adaptions to keep the fun in Fship. Ideas include:
1. adapting the Expanded restricted list
2. targeting a few Open xlist cards to xlist
What do you think?
