Ok this may seems a bit weird, I'll explain what the strategy is.
Fellowship Strategy:
You want to start and play a condition from your draw deck. The fellowship's objective is to stack the cards you need on Preparations to win with your shadow. The you use Rest by blind night or restless axe to shuffle them back after you used Beneath the Mountain to discard your entire draw deck. You want to have one perfect hand to eliminate your opponent so this mean you can only stack 7 cards on Preparations before shuffling it back in the deck with all cards on it.
Shadow Strategy:
If the RB is Galadriel. Stack 1 Gorgoroth Stormer + 4 Terrible As the Dawn and just go for a site 2 or site 3 kill.
If the RB is Boromir. Stack Troll's Keyward and 4 Such a little thing and just go for an early kill as well.
99% of the people who use these Ring-bearers will have AtAR as their ring and won't be able to survive.
If Gimli or Isildur are the RB, you need to go for site 5 corruption. Stack Morgai, Gorgoroth Stormer, 4 The Ring is Mine! and Gothmog's Warg to add 6 burdens. You may want to stack Grond as well, due to Ring of Fury and Scroll of Isildur which will force you to prepare the attack early as there will be 9 cards in your draw deck, discard Preparations if you draw it, otherwise play Grond or Morgai earlier depending of what fellowship you face.
If Smeagol is the RB, stack 2 Gorgoroth Stormer, Morgai, 4 The Ring is Mine and Gothmog's Warg to be able to add 7 burdens. There will be 9 cards in your draw deck, so discard Preparations or play Morgai earlier. Vs Solo Smeagol, make sure you'll play your site 5 to have enough twilight.
Vs Frodo and Bilbo, things may get more complicated. The idea is to kill him using Bill Ferny but you'll have to adapt to what your opponent is playing. Helpless is there vs Sam, Spies of Saruman is there vs archery. Saruman's snow is there if you expect events but it will stop you from playing House of Lamentation so it also means you'll have to play Saruman's Frost and discard the Hobbit Sword using Beauty if Fading. Saruman's power is especially there vs A Promise or Pre-archery wounding (Grima, CC as well cuz maneuver wounding decks usually have many cultures).
So yeah... please comment, give me some suggestions, give me your ideas... so far I'm 0-3 with this deck but I've faced difficult match-ups (A Promise and Scroll of Isildur) which forced me to improve my strategy.

Hahahaha!!! I love it. I can imagine the trouble you are facing certain decks, but I love it. It is hard to kill a fellowship with a single hand. I would add more ring of fury, so if needed you can repeat the trick, especially when Frodo is the RB...
-
Well, I also like the idea really much, but there are some things you'll be dying against, like this kind of Uri-Monsterdeck which gives tons of Damage +1 to each of your Dwarves, so Gimli will have more then just 6 resistance.
Some more ideas for freeps are like kinda more milling, especially Realm of Dwarrowdelf, which mills 9 cards each turn, no matter if you got some of your Possessions in the Discard Pile. I know that Beneath the Mountains is like: Mill 3 cards to do nothing in your Deck, so why not using a couple of Realm of Dwarrowdelf too?
-
You can use Beneath the Mountains even if you have no Dwarven weapons in discard.
Great ideas, c10ckw0rk!

Wildly creative...I'd love to see how this would work.
What guarantees you have 7+ vitality to stack on Preparations?

-
For Grond to take out Scroll of Isilduir, you'll need to play a Gorgoroth Stormer no later than site 4. How would you do this? Multiple preparations?
Also, what do you do against a Shadow deck that discards cards from your draw deck?

I would discard Scroll during the regroup phase at site 5 and corrupt him anyway.
Discarding cards from my draw deck isn't an issue as I will discard them anyway, it may become a bigger issue if I face Tower of Barad-Dur.

Good call -- as long as Roll of Thunder (or somesuch) doesn't take out Grond, you don't even need the minion to be there.
-
c-work: Do you have an update on this deck? I am awfully curious to hear how it has performed recently.
-wtk
-
I played one more game... ents and Terrible and Evil... so I lost.
-
Sorry to tell you, but my RB Gimli is usually at least 10 res. by site 5...
-
It's a good thing he has Grond to discard Ring of Fury, Gimli's Battle Axe, and other common [Dwarven] resistance boosters.
-wtk
-
He would still be 10. Instead of 15.
-
Aggression is X-ed in Movie Block and even so, Morgai gives the Shadow the initiative. So, if you are suggesting that the Free Peoples player has four copies of Lord of Moria, Ring of Fury, and Gimli's Battle Axe then he would be 12.
I know [Dwarven] draw well, but between four copies of Lord of Moria and his Axe and Ring, you are making quite a statement to presume he would be that stacked up by site five. And before you suggest the Binding Ring to grab Ring of Fury, I think c-work would agree he would appreciate the burden support.
I would consider adding Grishnakh to the cards so that you can draw more Gorgoroth Stormers (or end up with burdens which are just as good!)
Anyways, I think c-work has asked for suggestions to improve his deck. Not "doom-mongering" on what could be a very cool, if not original, strategy.

The strategy looks alright on paper... but didn't work so far in 3 games. There's basicly nothing I can do vs maneuver wounding which sucks.
Sharkley: I personnaly have rarely seen a Gimli deck with resistance 10 gimli at site 5. Most of the time... he is resistance 7 or 8 due to the axe and ring.
-
you could add a higher vitality minion for terrible as the dawn, Morgul hunter comes to mind, for moria you could stack such a little thing x4, goblin runner x3 and the balrog, terror of flame and shadow, basically you make the balrog -6 at site 5 just like bridge of khazad-dum. granted that neither of these options is fool-proof but that could almost take care of maneuver wounding, also you should maybe change to Courteous Halfling to prevent them from discarding important cards after you have discarded your entire deck.

Good ideas legolas3333.
But seriously, I'm thinking about stopping using this deck. It's not really fun to play. I mean... if my attack fail, I may as well concede. If it works (which didn't happen so far), I guess it's still not gonna be as fun as a regular deck.

I will bravely continue this deck, with your permission I will make it and play it!

I agree with Gil-Estel, I think this Deck has much potential that have to be discovered.
-
Well, since King came out I have been using Preparations and Rest By Blind Night with my [Moria] swarm deck. Throughout the first six or seven sites see what I can get stacked on Goblin Swarms. By then, I am nearly (if not completely) decked. Whenever I determine my last free people's turn, I exhaust all of my Dwarves and send Goblin Sneak and Goblin Scavengers (depending on my set-up to point) back to my deck. Usually makes for a 20 minion swarm since Goblin Sneak can recycle and Goblin Scimitar can re-draw.

Go ahead. Actually, I hoped someone decide to take this idea further.
However, I would like you to post your results on this thread and maybe post a new decklist when you'll make it better.

I would presume the deck would not be very fun in the first place. But it is still something I had not seen (an instant-kill tactic for any opponent) and so :gp: and bravo for thinking outside the box.

Have you worked on it yet?
-
I like this deck, in fact i love the combo decks. U lose all the deck and then stack what u need. Some guys have played that strategy to me before. This was my face >>>>> o_O. And then, play "what they need". Good joby !
-
Interesting idea. Just crazy enough to work.

Cool deck indeed!
