What are some other card games you would recommend. I'm just looking for some fun, low cost card games TCG or otherwise. I want to just get some starter decks from a few different games and try them out on a rainy day.
Thanks ~ Chris

two words, Go Fish
-
Not that low cost. :)
-
.hack//ENEMY is a pretty strategic card game, and - although out of print for like five years - can be found extremely cheaply at like $5 a box and $2 starter decks. Collecting is a chore, since each set has several chase rares, but I still think to this day that the gameplay is solid.
-
How about some WWE card games? Never played those before, but they seem ok to me!
Or perhaps some Magic The Gathering? Get the "Sacrificial Bam" deck from the Mirrodin Block.
If all else fails, try GCCG. :)

They have a an 8 starter deck lot and a 5 booster box lot over at Hill's Wholesale Games. I was checking it out earlier today. That's a big variety for $35.

They have a !5 STARTER DECK LOT for the WWE RAw deal game for $30. That would be enough to dabble around with. The main reason I don't play GCCG is because my job is so hectic, I never know when I may have to dial into work. I'd hate to be in the middle of a game or be committed to play at a certain time and not make it. Ulmo has the same problem, in fact he's dialed into work right now. :(

Yup yup. That's where my group's been shopping for the last few weeks. I plan on amassing a complete playset, using mainly Hill's as my source.

Price wise, Fight Klub is incredibly cheap. They even have wholesale offers on the site, so you can buy bulk amounts.

WARS TCG has solid mechanics. The same as SWCCG which are bar none the most inventive mechanics in CCGs. Hill's has a super deal on them too. I also have a ton of materials in pdf I could send you, like an unreleased fourth set and such. Note that I've never played myself but that I've heard its good and have been awful tempted with it so cheap.
Or try LOTR TCG. Its good, you may have heard of it. :)

Pokemon...
-
I've found WoW to be a lot of fun...
or Harry Potter TCG, if you want to think a lot.

I'd recommend to you:
Yu-Gi-Oh: Many people say that it's expensive, but actually it's not. Most pf the best cards (excluding just a couple of Power-Rares like Mirror Force) have been reprinted many times as Commons, so just buy a starter or structure Deck and you get about 5 to 9 of the best cards ever released.
MtG: It's pretty cheap to get many cards really cheaply , especially from me ;)
Pokemon: I mean, nearly everybody has got a box of some old Pokemon cards and they'll be selling it to you for just some $, the game itself is actually pretty awesome.

I concur with the Witchking.

Sorry to disagree, but MTG cheap?? I don't know your prices though, but everywhere else it's not cheap at all
Kid: ¡Yay! I want to start Magic! I think I'll make a White deck...
Shop guy: Ummm, okaaaay... uhh, so it's four Baneslayer angels, three Ajanis and four Honor of the Pure... uuummm, I'd also take a full playset of fetchlands, you know, to mana accel... it's, um, $400...
Kid: Well... what about an older format? Extended?
Shop guy: Okaaayy... four Figure of Destiny, four Chameleon Colossus, four Thoughtseize, duals, four Tarmogoyf...

Okay, okay, I was talking about Casual play and you're right, I was playing Standard during Coldsnap/Timespiral/Lorwyn times with 4x Garruk, 4x Siege-Gang Commander, Snow-Lands, and so on...
-
Ah, then you're right of course. I thought you were talking Standard. Casual is pretty fun, and the good thing about MTG is that it's SO easy to find cards.

And that's why I still play it even I have no Zendikar/Worldwake cards at all...
Here in Switzerland, MtG is dying, so I was able to buy about 20 or 25 boxes of Conflux and Alara Reborn for 5 Swiss Francs each or somewhat, and I was able to pay with my old NDS Games. (I also wanna say that I was able to buy Decks with Path into Exile which has a value of 10 Swiss Francs for just 5)

You must be kidding. If you're not, then I hate you ](*,)

I'm not, and I bought some of the NDS games in a lost and found office and sold them for even more money in the Shop, so the 25 boxes were for about 100 Swiss Francs, which is about 100$, and I must say that I gave them games that I already played enough so they weren't interesting for me at all, so finally these boxes were nearly for free!
