Title: Gccg Trends
Post by: legolas3333 on March 10, 2010, 11:13:52 AM
Here's a forum to mark certain trends you see on Gccg.

Right now I'm seeing a lot of decks that use ents and saved to cycle and set up, as well as multi-culture wounding decks. On shadow I see lots of combined swarms, Hate and Anger, The Moria Navy and the like. Anyone else?

In movie block:

I've seen a lot of Dwarves. Preparation is an extremely popular card.

I think most shadow sides are different. Otherwise, I haven't seen a lot of Swarm decks these days, except jmmcarthy's stupid swarm.

I'm serious. Are you sure you haven't played many times vs the same person?

I think Moria and Corsairs are amongst the most played (and most annoying by far) shadows in movie.

Elven Hunters, Uruk Hunters, Troll Swarm, Men Archery, Denethor Possession and Ringbound Hobbits are amongst the most played in standard.

I have been playing HAA alot lately because it's new for me but mainly because I like the freeps I have it paired with. My defender plus 1 Anarion overwhelmed both The Balrog, TOFAS and Host of Moria the other day. XD

Poplular Combo:
Goblin Scavengers + Goblin Scimitar + Goblin Armory
Please stop playing this deck people!  #-o  ;D JK.

okay, I'll just play my sense of obligation deck that corrupted King at site 4

Wounding and swarms seem to be the most common then

I've seen 4 people play [Orc] troll swarms in the past 2 days, it seems to be getting popular

Mumak Chieftain and his mount are quite popular now.

well you know how it is, when you only have 15 wins you have to brag about the best one :P

Darn, you guys seem to have tons of fun on GCCG. Is there a lot of calculation involved (like in sDA, where you have to do things manually, including adding twilight by hand)? Or is it more organic? What are the sound effects like? This summer I should have some time to play with you guys. :)

I'm seeing an insane amount of nasty buggering choke decks.  The only way I've pulled off a win is using Twilight Otsea to get my Nazzie events rolling.... :P
