Title: Collector's Card List
Post by: Legolis on March 17, 2010, 11:23:52 AM
I was thinking about selling some of my cards and wasn't to sure of where to start. When I first started buying these I got a collector's card list. On this list I have about half of them. Also have alot of other cards  I was thinking about getting rid of.

It will take me a few to get them all together and see what I got but before to long I should have a list of some kind. All my cards have never been played with and are in mint to near mint condition.

Also wasn't to sure of cards to keep my eye's out for more. Ones like the R's or the C's, U's and P's? Not to sure if that willl make much since to anyone but thought I would ask. Thanks

I am going to but I have around 2,000 cards or so. I have a few foils but not many just didn't want to really make a huge list that would make one go blind lol. Also around a hundred or so R's. I'm kinda slow and new to this site so it might take me a few to get it all done.

Also when you say Promo's do you mean the ones with the P's in the ID numbers on the bottom of the cards? Sorry Im a bit slow been a few. Thanks again.

The "p" means it is a promo or a premium. You probably should just list the rares ("R") and the promos/premium ("P"). If you don't want to write all the titles, just lists the numbers (ex: 1R1).

Cool thanks, it will probably take me a few to get them together. Also just wondering about that list and if anyone else might have it? I forgot where I got it but it came with one of the sets I got. It has a list of all the cultures and a list of sites that were collectible cards.

Thanks again

The list is not in the picture but I do have most of that stuff too lol. I think it might have come with the movie collectors set, the one with the statues in them. It is a small maybe 3 inch square foldout with a list of collectible cards.

It starts with "1 R The One Ring, Isildur's Bane" and ends with "365 P Aragorn, King in Exile". So altogether it has 365 cards. It is a mix of all the card types Rares Promos Common and Uncommon.

Thanks for that info!

That is probably where I got it from, I have around 75% of the cards on that list. Are these cards on the list valued more even if there are common and uncommon cards?

Also was kinda wondering about the numbers again. I have noticed that most of my cards start out with just a single digit, but have noticed alot of other cards that start out with double digits. Is there a reason for this?

Set number. Compare:

Pippin, Hobbit of Some Intelligence*
Pippin, Hobbit of Some Intelligence

Cool thanks for that info! So which ones would have more value? Sorry about all the questions, just having to re-learn alot of these its been a long time. I didn't even know they stopped making the game cards, when did this happen anyway?

Thanks again for all your info and help.

Awesome thanks for the info and links! It has been a long time for me and just trying to get things back in order. I have had these things packed away for years and kinda forgot about them all. I also have the 0p12 Gimli, 0p13 Legolas and the 0p14 Aragorn foils. I think I might keep them for a few though.

As crazy as it might be I have never played the game, when I first started getting these nobody had the time or really wanted to play. So I would just buy'em, organize them by culture (I think lol) then stick them in plastic sleeves and put them away. So all are in mint to near mint condition.

I will go through your list and in a few and see if I have any you might need. Thanks very much for all you help!

After going through all my cards I realize I have a bunch of common and uncommon copies. I know this is probably crazy for even asking but figured I would mention it. I would be interested in trading out some, say 10 for 1 or something like that? I would mainly be interested in copies of foils if possible common of course or if your feeling nice a rare would be awesome, I know you can stop laughing now but just putting it out there. Most of my cards are from the first 5 sets.
