I'm on a mission: Completely furnish my new apartment that I'm moving to in the Fall using only things found (for free) on craigslist.

So far, I've obtained 3 near-perfect condition table lamps and am in negotiations for a hide-a-way couch (free!). I already have a TV and some other cabinetry. I'll need (or want) another couch, a loveseat, some kind of small table with chairs, and a few other odds-and-ends.

Think it can be done?  ;D

Yeah, I bet it can be done. How long it will take, now there's the question.
I mean, if it takes you 10 years, you should probably get it done.

Just until Fall, though... Dunno. Should be worth trying, given that everything would be free.

I have a couch and some chairs and such if you want to drive to Maryland and pick them up. :P I WISH I could find someone to take them. Our basement is so cluttered...we're TOO blessed in that way.

Um...simplest explanation is it's a site that acts as a giant swap meet/trading post. You post something you need, or something that you wanna get rid of. Somebody contacts you with an offer. You make a deal.
