So, I got a Mac. And I love it. But I'm not really computer savvy anyways, so if anyone has GCCG on Mac and wants to run me through the set up, I'd really appreciate it.

I know it's possible, but it might be a bit involved. Isn't there someone here who has done it?

I thought so and I was hoping that I could get the step-by-step instructions from him/her. It just seems like I have to download some additional programs and so I'll get around to it eventually...I'd suspect that I'll give it the good old college try next weekend.

Instructions here make sense to me... :P

Well, as of now I am stuck on trying to download Fink and get that running. I guess it is just trying to get used to Apple's OS.

I mean, this literally is a foreign language to me. I'm just letting things go and hope they work out.

Bummer, looks like no Fink binary for 10.6. #-o
-
Likely why I was having so many problems.

Make sure to install XCode first:

I got GCCG running on 10.5.8 but the big problem is that you can't use the GCCG deckbuilder on a mac. So there's literally no way to build a deck.
-
Intriguing. I am running 10.6, so I guess I will wait for a Fink update.

How is it that the GCCG interface works but not one part of it? What happens when you open the card collection and middle-click to add to a deck?

Might be a while... do you have a legal copy of Windows for dual-boot?
-
If you need fink, why not just install it from source? http://www.finkproject.org/download/srcdist.php .
Also, if that's not an option, you could try emulation...I hear good things about WiNE, although I haven't had to use it yet, and they have OSX build instructions... http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX/Installing .

Anyone know how I can make a dock Icon for this? I'm tired of having to open up terminal every time I want to run the game.
-
So I heard of this program:
http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/
That supposedly simplifies the "running Windows programs on the Mac" deal.
ket or another Mac user, want to give it a shot?
-
I'll try it tonight. Free?

As far as I know. Works?
-
So it runs programs that are .exe files. I was able to run another .exe program that I thought was "Windows-only" so I can confirm that the program works.
Is there a particular .exe file that I should be running?

Ah, it can run .exe's? Try running Zorbec's and let me know the outcome. From there we could probably figure out what parameters GCCG needs to run from the batch file.
