Well i had the best day at work today when Karl Urban came into Dreamworld.
I got the pleasure of putting him and his son on the Giant Drop.
I must admit i drooled a bit, needless to say im a huge LOTR fanatic. But i stayed professional.
We are not allowed to ask for photos or autographs while in uniform. But had an awesome experiance none the less.

That is awesome!!!
-
Funny thing was no one else at work knew who he was hahaha.
I was abusing them all for not knowing. Im sure when they see a photo or something online they will go ohh yer that guy.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!
-
Who's Karl Urban?
-
The actor who played Eomer.
-
and he played Bones in Star Trek and the unnamed assassin in the Bourne Supremacy
-
I don't like Star Trek. I'm one of the Star Wars guys ;)

You must be like those guys in the movie Fanboys
-
I'm totally a Star Wars guy, however, the new Star Trek is worth seeing. It was great.
-
Personally as a fan of both, there's been a lot of facepalming at the two camps over the years. ;)
Two thumbs up for the new Star Trek movie.

I... hate... you.
Karl Urban is by far one of my favourite actors in Lotr. He does very well his character, he can put drama in Eomer in an incredible and realistic way (you know, the expressions, the pauses at speaking, all that non-verbal stuff. Unlike Elijah Wood, if you get me).
Where do you live though?
-
I live on the Gold Coast - Australia.
-
Awesome.
-
Dam, had no idea you worked at Dreamworld! My family and I were there about 9-10 years ago, when I was really little. Karl Urban is a great actor, and as someone raised largely in NZ I'm proud to say he's a Kiwi. Kiwi actors need to get more recognition. If the Aussie actors (who have done so well in Hollywood) can thrive in foreign film industries, so too can Kiwis. :D
-
My oncle is a Kiwi!
-
Cool! NZ was great for me, even though I was bullied a lot there I came to appreciate Kiwi ideals of environmentalism, athleticism, humor and creativity. I really loved that place. I also liked Australia, though I never lived there. My fam just visited the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney for brief trips in between NZ and Singapore.
I wonder if we could maybe create a player map showing which countries everyone currently lives in or comes from? That'd be cool. Muster a sense of community. :D

My dream is to visit Australia. Guess what... yeah, just for the accent!

There was one out on google at some point, not sure where it is though.

Russell Crowe? If Aussies like NZ actors we claim them as our own. Although you can't get much more Aussie than Russell Crowe :)

If he didn't have the beard when he showed up I would have never recognized him. He almost has that Brad Pitt look without it, just a little bit more rounded in the face. :o
