I have a couple 2c114 Sam Proper Poet cards and noticed on the bottom right where the copyright, year and print run are there is an "A" instead of a "1". I was just curious about this and what it would mean. They are from the same year and was just curious.
Thanks

As far as I know, that "A" just means its from the second printing. But it may also indicate there is a change of text on some cards, but I don't remember Proper Poet needing a change of text.

Jerba is right. Decipher reprinted a couple of the older sets back in the day when the game was flourishing. You probably got that one in a starter deck I'm assuming.

Just wanted to say thanks for that info. I got to re-reading it and there is a difference in the wording, very small but different.
In the Response: one says "If Frodo dies" and the other says "If Frodo is killed", make Sam the Ring-bearer. Not really sure why they would have had to rewrite that.
Thanks again!

I think Decipher saw the wording needed to be very precise. Many other Shadow cards in that and the previous set talked of "killing" - so the two terms needed to match up.
I'm assuming it was more of a conformity thing than anything else. There may have been some loops involved though. I don't think so but can't say for sure.
