Title: Three Monstrous Trolls
Post by: hrcho on April 16, 2010, 07:38:43 AM
This is the situation:

4 copies of Goblin Armory is in play and Three Monstrous Trolls is in play

Shadow Player plays [Moria] weapon and tries add  [4], [1] for each Goblin Armory, can the FP player exert 1 hobbit ally once to prevent all [4] or must he/she exert hobbit allies 4 times to prevent all [4]?

Each exertion would prevent (1), so 4 exertions needed to prevent all (4).

Yeah, each Goblin Armory is a separate action to respond to. For example:
1. A [moria] weapon is played.
1A. [1] is added by Goblin Armory A.
1B. [1] is added by Goblin Armory B.
1B1. A Hobbit ally exerts for Three Monstrous Trolls to prevent Goblin Armory B from adding [1].
1C. [1] is added by Goblin Armory C.
1D. [1] is added by Goblin Armory D.
1D1. A Hobbit ally exerts for Three Monstrous Trolls to prevent Goblin Armory D from adding [1].

Result: [2] are added by Goblin Armory A and C; the twilight added by Goblin Armory B & D is prevented by using Three Monstrous Trolls twice.
