Post by: Witchkingx5 on April 19, 2010, 08:55:31 AM
And, another Deck I own in real! In addition, I wanted to say that the Shadow is also King Block legal, and I'd like to possibly keep it in that section.

Isildur, BoH
The one Ring, Isildur's Bane

Freeps (33):

4x Oathbreaker (2 foil starting!)
4x Sleepless Dead
1x Cursed of Erech

1x Narsil, BotF
4x Sapling of the White Tree
1x The shards of Narsil
1x Scroll of Isildur
1x Seeing Stone of Minas Anor
1x Seeing Stone of Orthanc

3x Elessar's Edict
4x Banner of the White Tree
4x Gondor Bowmen
4x Swept Away

Shadow (33):

4x Olog-Hai of Mordor
3x Troll of Gorgoroth, Abomination of Sauron
4x Siege Troop
4x Gothmog, LoM
3x Gorgoroth Troop
2x Gorgoroth Swarm
3x Gorgoroth Agitator

2x Grond, HotU

Saplings of the white tree requires to spot an unbound [gondor] man. You do not have any.

For healing you could go with Might of Numenor. Also, Foes of Mordor is nice for "free" exertions of your Wraiths. Hearts Raised to deal with threats.

Your companions never really get very big so that hurts if you are trying to double move. Maybe something that can clear minions during the regroup phase?

Agree, might of Numenor seems pretty cool for me, but I get enough exertions with Banner of the White Tree and with Gondor Bowmen. I had Hearts Raised in this Deck, but it actually had no real effect because I add really many threats.

Ket, you mentioned the most important point - strength. I once lost against Lord of the Nazgul, and also overwhelming may be a problem.

What do you think of Stronger and more terrible?

you have literally zero threat removal, how are you going to counter a shotgun enquea at 8 when all your swept away have been discarded? add hearts raised definitely and maybe drop one of the oath breakers or sleepless dead for aragorn, driven by need.

Edit: you will die to burden removal, dump 2 sapling of the white tree, and 2 oathbreakers for Aragorn, Driven by need, Sam, Son Of Hamfast, and 2 hearts raised

Lego, you're really awesome! You know what? When I posted this Deck, I asked myself this question too, but there's a very simple response to it: Elessar's Edict. But still, when Ring of Rancor is played on Shotgun Enquea, there some problems may appear...

But still doesn't happen too often.
