Title: Southron "at the start of each skirmish" actions
Post by: lordnorth on April 19, 2010, 09:52:59 AM
Hi All:

This may have been addressed elsewhere, but I'm having trouble finding clarification.  I've been out of the game for several years and I'm just now getting back in.

Desert Soldier and numerous other Southron minions have the following text:
"At the start of each skirmish involving this minion, you may remove (3) to wound a companion or ally he is skirmishing."

My question is, can this ability be used more than once?  I.E. Could I use a total of (9) to wound that companion/ally three times?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

No. The "start of skirmish" bit only happens once per skirmish phase.

No. "Each time" texts can only be used once per card per occurrence of the event in question (in this case, once each time a skirmish starts involving that minion).

Only responses and other phase actions (actions preceded by a bold-faced phase keyword; e.g. "Response: If X happens, do Y.") can be used multiple times.

That's what I thought, but I'm glad to have someone check me.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Thanks.  I've been wondering that bit myself.
