Gosh Darn It! It'll be the end of the world before that movie's finally released! ;) ;)

Well, imagine those who read LotR in 1955 ;)

Well, imagine those who read LotR in 1955 ;)
You have a point there! I wonder how many of them thought, "There should be a movie made of this!"

Looks like that article screwed up. It's actually 2012 for the first, and 2013 for the second.
-
ok part one in 2012 part 2 in 2013 like Fingolfinfinwe said

Dam. -_-
Well, at least when it's released it'll lighten up my what-is-likely-to-be-dreadful law school experience.

Bu it will be in 3D!

Bu it will be in 3D!
Which would be horrible. There is nothing artistic about 3D - it is nearly impossible for a director to get across his true intentions for a film in that format. The colors become skewed, and the picture isn't crisp.
That's jut my take on it though.. :) I'd just rather see it in the standard format, like LotR was. It made for a "cinematic" experience, where you could appreciate the story and the art of the film-maker rather than the orcs popping out at you! ;)
Either way, I can't wait!!

Well, as I saw Alice in 3d, and I liked the 3d very much. The movie was so-là-là, but the 3d was really impressive.

Ian McKellen just tweeted that he saw "Bilbo in 3D". That is all.
