Title: Out of the high airs Question
Post by: Mager on May 22, 2010, 10:07:38 PM
Isn't Out of the high airs a very op card??
It can let u double fairly easily. While costing only 3 twilight and one exertion..It lets u discard all minions in regroup phrase. Or am i wrong ???

It's pretty srtong, but if you want a really broken Deck, you don't want to let those minions survive that long, or I can explain it like this:

If so many minions survived, they caused lots of damage to you, which means that your Deck is pretty weak.

If there's just 1 or 2 minions, you can use cheper cards like Gondor's Vengeance, which is a really versatile cards btw. You can use it also in Elven Decks with Arwen, DoE.

oh i see.. thx
But i feel that the rohan regroup wounding/exerting has been seriously overshadowed by these 2 cards .. ](*,)

if there are still enough minions in regroup to make you want to use Out O The High Airs, his shadow is killing you and you'd be better off not doubling anyway

That is not necessarily true. It happened to me more then once to win every skirmish, but lots of minions remain on the table. (Ents against certain [Sauron] orcs for example) due to lack of damage bonus. So if you have a strong fellowship but can't kill minions because they can't take wounds, they prevent wounds or you just don't have enough damage bonus, Out of the High Airs is a card for you. I have a fighting elves deck where I most often win every skirmish, but no one dies. Then I use Gil-Galad and Aiglos if necessary.

The way I'd go with this deck would be something with 4x radagast and gandy, some massive defender bonuses, out of high airs, and born far away so you can just kill one companion, discard all minions, move, repeat

no it is not....you are putting people in your deadpile, and that is the weakness of the deck, you need to do the trick as less as possible for it to work...
