Guillermo del Toro drops out of directing 'The Hobbit' (http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Movies/05/31/guillermo.del.toro.drops.out.ew/index.html?hpt=T3)

Yeah, found out today. There's already too much problems and issues and delays for thsi to bacome succesful IMO, unless there appears a new director willing to take part in this with Guillermo and Peter.
-
That is terrible news to me. Guillermo is the premier fantasy director of the day imo. @#%$ MGM... just freakin go under already so someone else can pick up the pieces.

With all the #$&*@! coming out of Hollywood today, you'd think they could green light one good idea. ](*,)

If it keeps going this way it will take forever to get out of this hole....

Wow, that's quite a hole!
Del Toro was the guy who did Pan's Labyrinth, right? Well, I guess I could Google it... Google confirms. Man, that movie was awesome. Too bad.

He will weep when he sees the amount of money this thing will rake in eventually. Other than that, I wish him all the best. Seriously, it must be insanely aggravating to wait two years (plus) to start a movie you've practically already completed in your head. Silly MGM. Somebody needs to take care of that baby lion.
