Title: Frenzy of Arrows = Obsolete?
Post by: OneFathom on July 15, 2010, 11:22:14 AM
Looked over the last CRD about the clarification for Frenzy of Arrows.  Seeing as how there aren't any Orc-culture archer minions in the game, this card isn't playable?  Am I wrong?

This card is rather useless - nowadays. But the last official continental championship of Europe 2007 was heavy - as the crd were adapted afterwards. All I say: Leitho i phillin.

Yeah, its defunct. I'm sitting on 4 copies and an [Orc] Grind deck that I really want to put them in, but can't.

There were lots of attempts to make a playable errata, like changing all the numbers to one (besides the twilight costs), but without that, it's useless. And I also have one... :(

Orkish Archer Troop should just have the keyword archer. Problem solved. If FoA really must be used, but it would need Decipher to make the rule official, or a PC XD.

No way, FoA in itself is too powerful, and simply making it playable again doesn't solve anything. An errata that many of us have used for quite a long time is changing all the 2s to 1s, which makes it much more fair.

This is exactly the "house errata" that my playing group uses.  Until a PC is here to handle these issues, you can use a "house errata" that your playing group agrees with, otherwise no gameplay will it see.

There are still no archers, so this errata seems pointless.

It's an errata on the original card, not on the Decipher errata.

People complained about how followers were too powerful then D made a card that killed followers and everyone hated it, my group leaves the numbers as they are but takes away the original bonus so it is still a follower hate card

No, the cost stays at [2].
