Ah, Cheerwine: the sweet red nectar of the gods. :up:
My family used to travel to Sunset Beach (just north of Myrtle Beach) at the end of each summer, and it was there that I discovered the cherry-flavored awesomeness known as Cheerwine. Sadly, when I returned home after living off it for several days that first trip, I couldn't find it ANYWHERE here in Maryland. Apparently it ceases to exist somewhere around the North Carolina/Virginia border. Every year when we went back, I'd stock up, bring a bunch home, and then weep softly when my supply ran out, having to wait for months before I could go back and get more.
I haven't been to Sunset Beach in three years, but my parents went this past week and brought some back for me. :mrgreen: Ah, how I missed it so.
Have any of you heard of this unique soft drink? If so, is it available in your area? I'm trying to narrow down where it is--and is not--sold so that I can know which vacation spots to look for it and which ones to not waste my time in the future. :P 'Twould also be good to know if it IS available anywhere even close to Maryland.
