Title: We're All Afraid.
Post by: menace64 on August 09, 2008, 03:50:40 AM
Just a random quote came to mind from the movie. Enter card:

(0) We're All Afraid [Sauron]
Condition
Resistance -1
To play, exert a [Sauron] minion. Bearer must be a companion. Limit 1 per companion.
After each skirmish involving bearer resolves, a Shadow player may reveal 3 Shadow cards from hand (or 1 [Sauron] card) to transfer this condition to another companion.
"'But to let that fear drive us to destroy what hope we have. Don't you see that is madness?'"

Maybe not a powerhouse of a card, but it's true to the culture and can hamper certain decks. For flavor, a companion can become 'afraid' after one of his compatriots has a close call with a minion and imagines the danger lurking ahead (skirmish, cards in hand, condition transfers). Since 'bad stuff' isn't limited to the [Sauron] culture, after the initial play any Shadow player can trigger the move.

Yeah, at the moment, it's not that powerful. -2 would be great.

Oh, and after reading the lore, I totally thought to myself, "Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!!"
