Title: More GCCG tables (including support for NHM format)
Post by: Tbiesty on October 03, 2010, 06:42:36 PM
A major goal for the "Unofficial Rulebook (http://files.me.com/tlbiesterfeld/nlw02c)" is to make as many of the cards as possible playable, and allow for maximum variety (and fun).
After many discussions, research, etc. I've decided to focus on something that should work for everyone.

Introducing Non-Hunters Multipath (NHM) Format
[Everything except cards in sets 15, 17, and 18]

I've created tables on GCCG that recognize this format (in addition to the other existing formats).

The definition for this format is here (http://lotrtcgdb.com/forums/index.php/topic,5743.0.html).

...I hate to be a pain in the #$&*@!, but will these tables recognize standard rules decks, like FotR block, Towers Block, Towers Standard, and Movie Block?

They should now.

Cool, just logged on and it looks good. Thanks man. I really appreciate it and I hope others show their appreciation as well in the classic :gp:

Care to make them recognize the actual Towers Standard? Ringbearer found the true list (http://lotrtcgdb.com/forums/index.php/topic,3284.msg40395.html#msg40395), but wlk never updated it on his end.

Just throwing it out there, I posted the link that RB posted like three comments above there.

Just saying...

Updated as requested.  GCCG tables are now operational.  Enjoy!

It needs a catchier name. Something like URF (Unofficial Rulebook Format) ;) It's funny :)

Tbiesty, if the GCCG server ever dies, I leave it to you to start a new one.

I can start/restart additional tables no problem.

However, if the whole GCCG server (which is not mine) goes down, the only option I could help with is to create my own GCCG server (instead of gccg.serverbeer.com).  But I'm not sure if the GCCG that you download from wlk is "hardcoded" to only connect to his GCCG server.

It sorta is, but can be patched if the UNTHINKABLE happens. ;)
