I've never played pipeweed before though I've been curious about it and actually plan to build it... it needs some more improvement. insights will be appreciated.

The One Ring, SAWTC
Gimli, Unbidden Guest
Legolas, Greenleaf
Aragorn, heir of Elendil x2

Gimli's Battle Axe x1
Ring of Retribution x1
Long Knives of Legolas x1
Bow of the Galadhrim x1
Gandalf, Friend of the Shirefolk x3
Glamdring x1
Gandalf's Staff x1
Trust Me As You Once Did x2
Aragorn's Pipe x1
Gandalf's Pipe x1
The Gaffer's Pipe x1
Frodo's Pipe x1
Gimli's pipe x1
Bilbo, Retired Adventurer x1
Servants of the Secret Fire x4
Old Toby x4
Longbottom leaf x2
Sting, Bane of the Eight Legs x1
Sleep, Caradhras x1
Terrible and Evil x1
Ok, so strategy is pretty simple, but provides the FP with a few options...
1. wounding - greenleaf, aragorn's bow, bow of the galadhrim, ash staff and Gimli's battle axe.
use frodo's pipe to heal up greenleaf on the next site, aragorn's pipe to heal aragorn
2. Skirmish - Gandalf - str 12. Aragorn - str 10 (12 if vs uruk hai). Gimli,SoG - str 9. Legolas - 8 (10 is vs orc or urukhai)
TMAYOD to pump characters with str+3, with ash staff, gandalf has 5 hp.
Servant of the secret fire for pumping aswell
3. choke - gaffer's pipe + gimli's pipe...against orcs, glamdring works too.
Pipes to keep healing the companions. Bilbo to keep cycling the pipeweed possessions.
The main problem I see is Grima, Wormtongue...
I haven't built this deck in real life and have yet to play test it... any feedback you guys have will be appreciated.

First off, Gandalf's Staff, Ash Staff isn't movie block legal. I think the original from Mines of Moria would be your best bet here to make the Servants free. If Wormtongue becomes a problem for you, Terrible and Evil is probably the best way to get him before he gets you. Unless you change things to use Preperations and Slaked Thirsts, but I think that would take too many spots. Another thing to think about is to use Gimli, Unbidden Guest instead of Son of Gloin. He'll help Aragorn and Gandalf win, as well still be another Gandalf signet. I would probably also use Gimli's Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon for the additional archery if you get the threats since not everyone plays orcs. I think it's a good deck and should work pretty well.
Also, kudos for using Bilbo to recycle the weeds back. Haven't seen that done since the beginning of Fellowship block.

thanks elrond. you made some good points - edited.
I however, prefer to stick with Gimli's battle axe as opposed to trusted weapon since i rarely get threats in my meta (and don't really like having threats) hehe
-
Stick with the Axe like you said.
-
Also added a copy of Terrible and Evil to bring deck count to 36

im not really familiar with RoTK sites...can anybody help me build an adventure path for this FP?
-
just FYI, pipeweed is about 493% more effective in fotr than movie,
that said I generally go Aragorn/Gandalf/Hobbits with Greenleaf as protection since frodo's pipe can heal him. I would drop all the gimli stuff and build around frodo signets and exertions with frodo's pipe as a healing engine
-
@legolas: no one plays FOTR block in our meta...if i want, i can go FOTR, but my opponents won't. so no point there....
anyways, how exactly would you change the deck? I figure, I could use Aragorn, Elessar Telcontar instead if im to go the frodo signet route

Frodo, Resolute Hobbit
The One Ring, Answer To All Riddles
Gandalf, The Grey Pilgrim (Starting)
Legolas Greenleaf x3
Aragorn, Elessar Telcontar x4
Gandalf's Staff x2
Gandalf's Pipe x2
Aragorn's Pipe x3
Frodo's Pipe x3
Aragorn's Bow x3
Old Toby x4
Longbottom Leaf x4
Fireworks x3
Servant Of The Secret Fire x4
The Tale Of The Great Ring x2
basically that's it, but i cant shake the feeling that I forgot something

Terrible and evil?
I get a bad feeling with that build, legolas... greenleaf and aragorn(with bow) can only deal a max of 5 wounds per site and none of the companions are strong enough to fight anybody. I haven't play tested it though, so I can't say for sure.

4 SotSF with fireworks to recycle, but since when is pipeweed a freeps side that can run to site 9? it's two strengths are drawing and healing, not exactly what you need when you're trying to win with your freeps
and this is not the deck I run cause my pipeweed is fotr, and I forgot The Tale Of The Great Ring
