Title: purpose & reason- Gorn vs. Faramir
Post by: jdizzy001 on December 06, 2010, 09:59:35 AM
Traditionally, Aragorn is a more used companion than Faramir.  I ask why?  Unless your deck is specifically designed for gorn, is there a reason to choose gorn over Faramir?  Largely I am refering to Faramir Son of Denethor.  No skirmish events can be used against him!  That is way cool.  Slap a sword and armor on faramir and ba-boom your set.  of course there are reasons to use gorn over faramir, str 8 vit 4 to begin.  most gorns can be made def +1 very easily, and almost all of gorn's weapons make him dmg +1.  These are very good reasons to use gorn over faramir, but a knight's sword can make faramir dmg+1 and i will go can make him def+1.  Tell me what you think, who is the better companion?

1. Faramir, Son of Denethor is good. But Aragorn, RotN is a better splash card as he can save you from swarms among other things... I once had rotn face 4 HUGE damage+1 uruk hais including lurtz. those uruk hais would've wreaked havoc on my fp otherwise.

2. Aragorn is of course better in a multicultural deck (using signets, pipeweed, tmayod, tokens, three hunters etc etc)

Silly comparison. It's all circumstantial as to which is better.

Edit: Faramir because he's Auzzie. Haha.

Faramir gets a decent amount of play, I thought...
