Hey!
Since nobody plays expanded on GCCG, I had to create a standard deck. I only played 3 games with it, but the shadow got its job done all three times, however the freeps is pretty solid too imo. Here it is:
EDIT: lost only one game of about a dozen with this baby (11 burdens on a 12 res Galadriel...), all of them were shadow wins :uh-huh:
Ring-Bearer: Frodo, Resolute Hobbit + The Great Ring
Starting Fellowship:
Gamling, Defender of the Hornburg
Eomer, Horsemaster
2 x Aragorn, Defender of Rohan
1 x Theoden, Northman, King of Rohan
1 x Gamling, The Old
1 x Eowyn, Northwoman
1 x Riders of the Mark
1 x Erkenbrand, Master of Westfold
4 x Last Days of my House
4 x Where Now the Horse
1 x Erkenbrand's Horn
2 x Gamling's Horn
1 x Rohirrim Doorwarden
4 x Rohan Stable Master
2 x Andúril, Flame of the West
1 x Eomer's Spear, Trusty Weapon
1 x Firefoot, Eomer's Steed
2 x Rider's Spear
2 x The Tale of the Great Ring
1 x Sting, Elven Long Knife
2 x Gandalf, Returned
1 x Shadowfax, Greatest of the Mearas
Bid 0, and go 2nd if possible, to play shadow-friendly sites. Pull Erkenbrand's Horn at site 1 with Gamling, then pull Pallando, and Rohirrim Doorwarden, and play whatever else you have. Discard Gamling, DotH as fast as you can with Where Now the Horse, and fetch Gamling, The Old (he will get his bonus thanks, to Gorn's text).
When the fellowship has been set up, it's pretty hard to beat them in skirmish thanks to the +2 bonus strength from Theoden and Aragorn, and Eowyn can handle troublesome minions like, Black Gate Sentry.
If I add too much burdens with TGR, I can remove them with GotM.
Shadow:
4 x Nertea, Dark Horseman
3 x Enquea, Thrall of the One
3 x Lemenya, Eternally Threatening
3 x Cantea, Faster than Winds
3 x The Witch-King, Morgul King
1 x Nelya, Third of the Nine Riders
2 x Nelya, Thrall of the One
3 x Saruman, Servant of Sauron
4 x Lingering Shadow
2 x Between Nazgul and Prey
2 x Dark Fell About Him
2 x Ring of Terror
1 x Ring of Rancor
2 x They Feel The Precious
1 x Throne of the Dark Lord
2 x The Pale Blade, Sword of Flame
The Shadow is Pretty simple nazzy corruption with some defense provided by TFTP. The main plan is to exhaust a high vitality companion, and play Dark Fell About Him on him/her (with Lingering Shadow, if possible).
Adventure deck:
Steward's Tomb
Buckland Homestead
Mount Doom
City Gates
Trollshaw Forest
Sirannon Ruins
Stables
Harrowdale
Neekerbreeker's Bog
Any ideas how can I improve it?

I would personally take out gats and put in a copy or two of •Ulaire Toldea, Messenger of Morgul instead but that is just me as I am anal about solo culture decks :p and maybe throw in one more copy of Dark Fell About Him Other wise nice deck looks fun!

I would throw in at least 3 Messenger of Morgul, if it would be standard legal, but unfortunately it is not (man... it would PWN in this deck, I have to creat an expanded version :p). I'm trying to squeeze in the 3rd Dark Fell About Him, but I just can't find the spot... But I think 2 is fine too, because I don't really want to play it, unless I can corrupt the rb with it, and against some deck, finding a nazgul with 3 vitality in the regroup is not so easy.
EDIT:
Just a recent thought.. What do you guys think of Throne of the Dark Lord? I already play Mount Doom, and Nelya can change to it any time, so it's like 2 burden for 2 twilight.

lol sorry bout the Standard Topic :p

i would dump sense of obligation because if you cant control EVERY skirmish, all versions of it in play go down the pipe.

You might be right... I will remove one for Throne of the Dark Lord, and will keep an eye on how useful they are. but if I only play Dark Horseman, they are great.
EDIT: you were right, took them all out for greater good.
